A list of puns related to "Wisecrack (company)"
$0.10/word and up for standard copy (rarely negotiable). Message me if youβd like to do business. Iβm especially interested in literary representation.
I love progression fantasy stories like litrpg, martial cultivation WN, and some Isekai manga.
But one thing I'm sick to death of with western litrpg stories is all the cringey dialogue between the MC and his friends. The MC is almost always a smartass who has an endless supply of quips and pop culture references.
I've listened to The Land by Aleron Kong and had to drop it after about 4 books. It's a shame because the world building and progression were excellent.
I am currently listening to Underworld by Apollo Thorne. I made it to the 4th book again and had to drop. In addition to the cringey dialogue, the MC's girlfriend is a Mary Sue and the author will not stop telling us how much faster and braver she is than him and how much he loves her π.
Every single fucking exchange between them is some kind of sarcastic quip or a figure of speech that has been done to death. Nobody talks like that in real life and if they did they wouldn't have a girlfriend for very long!
It's like as if a corny dork had cloned himself and was having a dad joke competition with his clone. It's really fucking bad and kills any immersion in the story.
But what's sort of strange in the Underworld's case is that most of the dialogue between the MC and non-humans is not bad. It's not compelling, but it doesn't kill my immersion or cause me to groan and roll my eyes.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not looking for an edgelord MC and I don't mind if one or two minor characters in an epic story are a wiseass. But when every exchange with the MC and his friends ends in a hearty "chuckle" or "and everyone laughed" at the mildest wisecrack, then that's where I draw the line.
Thanks for reading my review of Underchuckle and thanks for your recommendations.
Edit forgot to add that I have read all the Cradle books and they were great. I was able to binge all 9 books nonstop and will grab the 10th soon.
Hey there! Just wanted to share that we have a comedy-themed escape room in Alliance on Historic Main Street. It's not scary or ominous like traditional escape rooms, it's very family-friendly, and great for first-time escape room players.
We've got a cat cafe, troll doll museum, cat museum, excellent tattoo shop, gourmet coffee shop, metaphysical shop, street art and murals, and more coming soon here on Main Street as we are renovating one building at a time and revitalizing our community.
Come down and support our mission to turn Alliance into a family-friendly tourist destination!

Found this little video while at work.
Hie guys, was watching this Dune commentary from Wisecrack's. Any idea what is the music from 2:00 to 5:00? [https://youtu.be/QmAizA26KPo?t=2m01s]
If you havenβt seen their stuff that do a bunch of great videos looking at complex issues through popular media, and usually comment on things from a pretty left perspective. I think their one of the better starting points for introducing people to leftist theory
For the few that have seen it and disagree with it, they'll know exactly why, but for those haven't I honestly suggest that you don't. It's honestly one of the worst TLOK critique videos I've seen yet - not as bad as Lily's stupid video, or as Bigoted as E;R's collection of videos, or as dumb as the Mr. Enter's video, or even as stupid as Kay & Skittles' video collection - but it's just about as bad as Hello Future Me's video on Beginnings. It's another video that has basically come to the conclusion first and then uses whatever weak, cherrypicked evidence that it can to justify the stance it has already taken. So as promised I said I'd be making response to it after I made a post listing the points that video made, cross-posted too of course. For the sake of space, I'll summarize some of them, now let's get into why I disagree with it:
AMON
> Amon is revealed to be a bender & apparently never actually wanted the things he fought for.
I don't even know which side to tackle first here... Like do I first get into the whole thing about why him being a bender literally changes nothing about wanting to help nonbenders? Or do I first break down how each of Amon's biggest actions were all for the sake of his cause? I guess I'll just start with the latter, since I already covered the former a little bit of it here
They took out the triads and gangs that plagued the streets like 2-headed rat-vipers, these are gangs specifically went after nonbenders because they had no real ways of protecting themselves.
They blew up the Pro-bending arena, effectively stopping benders from getting further ahead in life because of their abilities in a sport only they can play, similar to how said benders get ahead by supplying the city with electricity. They even started by exposing one of most infamous Pro-bender who was cheating his way to success.
They took out members of the council, which got to the heart of the real problem since a council solely made up of benders - who aren't even from the city or country, and are instead representatives from the other 4 nations - was a pretty bad idea to begin with.
As to add on to the

i havent watched the video im just bored :(
Jared was always the highlight of wisecrack, and his take and voice gave a real authentic and authoritative take on whatever topic he was speaking about. But equally important to me was the conciseness and editing of the videos. I really wanted to watch his explanation on why he left wisecrack, but 2 hours without time stamps or seemingly any editing makes it rough for me to currently watch.
So while I havenβt watched it yet, I am going to when I have some time without the kids running under my feet. I just hope the concise videos return.
