A list of puns related to "Wikinews"
I often Google stuff I want to look up on Wikipedia and usually Wikipedia is the first result. But recently I started to see that sometimes wikinew is the first result for whatever I Google.
For example I Google Patrice O'Neal and the first result was his page but on wikinew. It seems to have quite a bit of ads and the main site is in Russian? The article for Patrice O'Neal was in English however.

I'm of the opinion that all of the sister projects don't get enough attention, but I went to the Wikinews landing page, and I noticed the Russian Wikinews has created over 316,000 articles. For comparison, the English Wikinews has 21,000+ articles.
First and foremost, I was wondering if anyone knows why such an incredible discrepancy exists, but secondly, I also wanted to shine a spotlight on the work by Russian Wikinews contributors. They blew Wikimedia's dominant language out of the water and have clearly given their all on a platform that often gets neglected by the rest of Wikimedia.
