A list of puns related to "Unguaranteed"
One of the biggest hurdles to trades is matching salary. If a team was looking to hit the reset button (or just save a lot of money) I wonder if this would be a crazy born-in-the-bowels-of-Sam-Hinkie-style move that would put them in an attractive position to get a big-name player in a trade and save the team you're trading with a bunch of money in the process, as they could waive the player immediately afterward.
I'm talking about opening 40 chests without getting Night Stalker.
You should be able to buy all Rare / Very Rare from the market since there is no guarantee that you will get it from chests.
EDIT: NO, it's not me that opened 40 chests and didn't get it. So it's not about being salty, it's about common sense.
He goes on to say that when Andrew Wiggins signed his contract, he presumably believed that the money was guaranteed, and he never knew that he had to take a vaccine to get that money.
Interesting observation from Windy. Looks like the NBA is trying to be more like the NFL with unguaranteed money.
Maybe the eventual outcome of all this is to just unguarantee contracts on both ends. If the Pelicans want to waive Zion for being out of shape, they should be able to. And if Zion wants to void his contract with the Pelicans, he should be able to as well.

I think this kind of got lost with everything else going on tonight. Minor trade, but it's noteworthy.

Hi
We use IAS17 for leases in our country. I have a problem that i don't know how to solve it. In the problem the lessee guarantees $200 residual value and the lessor estimates $100 as unguaranteed residual value. If at the end of the lease the fair value of the residual value is $350 how much gain and loss the lessee and lessor record in their journal entry when the asset returns to the lessor.
It can fluctuate between 17-25 mps, so Iβm told. (I havenβt actually signed up for it yet- Iβm with another provider at the moment who offers 15 mps max).
Is there any point in applying for VIPkid with an unguaranteed internet speed?
Iβm on maternity leave, a SAHM, and was really hoping to make this side job work for me!
Thanks
I have a pretty good understanding of the CBA and NBA contracts in general, but one part I don't understand is how the final year of Haywood's contract is for a lot more than the previous year and how it's not guaranteed. It's my understanding that it was from a previous CBA and that it can't happen again. Is that true?
Just curious as to how nfl players make he money that is not guarented at signing... obviously itβs important to make guarentteed money but how do they get the other portion of the contract? Always wondered that
so I recently subscribed to the megaplus package from tedata, and so far the data rates have been abysmal. Started out from 4-5 Mbps then throttling all the way down to 1.5 Mbps, got in touch with em and they said they are gonna do a test on the line etc, but so far nothing has changed still hovering around 1-1.5 Mbps.
anyway my SNR margin is ranging between 30-40db, line attentunation 10-15db, and max rate 15-22Mbps. I have been getting lots of frequent disconnections, tried changing cables, splitters the whole deal and still the same issue resides. bear in mind I've been getting the same issue on another line of mine also so one gotta be thinking.
what should my next course of action be ? I'm heavily thinking of reverting to 2 or 4Mbps fixed data plan
That is, free up cap for Houston.
Just a little, but hugely effective lesson I learned. Many people (that I talk to), when they are roughly estimating their yearly finances, count on having tax refunds, paybacks on loans, work bonuses paid out, etc. Don't do this, always figure conservatively on "guaranteed" money (ex, your base salary at work). This way, if you get a refund, or when your work bonuses come, its just extra on the cake.
Do your worst!
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
I took a deeper look at the NBA landscape and it turns out (no pun intended) that Turners trade market is shallower than I thought.
For obvious starters, I don't see the following teams going after Turner simply because they don't have a starting level center role waiting for him. He's not coming off the bench and I highly doubt anyone wants to play him alongside another center except for Minnesota (more on that later). Here's those teams: Atlanta (Capela), Chicago (Vucevic), Cleveland (Allen, Mobley), Denver (Jokic), Miami (Bam), New Orleans (JV), Philadelphia (Embiid), Phoenix (Ayton), Utah (Gobert)
These teams would probably welcome Turner but the path to acquiring him is not feasible for cap reasons: Brooklyn, LA Lakers, Milwaukee
Any team acquiring Turner is looking to improve their chances to win games right now. I'm ruling out any teams that have shown firm signs of being committed to the tank this year, and that would likely balk at giving up any assets that are future oriented (i.e. picks, young players on team controlled contracts / RFA at end of term, and in some cases, young center projects of their own). Many of these teams are also short on larger contracts that they'd be willing to part with, meaning the collection of players going back would have to be even larger and frankly, unrealistic. These teams are: Detroit, Houston, Oklahoma City, Orlando, San Antonio
We're now down to 13 teams. I'm getting a bit more situation specific with this next round of eliminations:
Dallas I don't think they have the right assets even with a pick heavy package. Let's assume Doncic, Porzingis and THJ are off the table. Their next top 3 contracts by dollar figure are Dwight Powell (11m), Reggie Bullock (9.5m), and Maxi Kleber (8.75m). All other players are under 4.2m this year making it tough to not include at least one of the above 3 for salary matching purposes. I find it hard to see Indiana accepting bad cap onto their books beyond this year as they have indicated a desire to resign TJ Warren and won't want to risk the tax. Aside fron Kleber who is unguaranteed and would further deplete a Mavs team looking to add talent, the gap to cover these deficiencies seems too great.
Golden State One of their beat reporters recently said that the Warriors have zero intention to trade Wiseman. If that's true, there's next to no path from a salary matching standpoint. Even tougher once you consider Kuminga off the table.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
