A list of puns related to "Unfrosted"
Frosted cupcakes taste bad and store made, unfrosted cupcakes are where itβs at! You canβt really make a mess with unfrosted cupcakes (unless you try hard enough) they donβt make your hands sticky, you donβt have the weird frosting taste In your mouth, and they are just good all around, and WAY better then frosted cupcakes, same goes with cake too.
Sorry if this isnβt a unpopular opinion if it isnβt Iβll take this down, I just hate frosted cupcakes, also also, sorry if this isnβt following any rules
Edit: Iβm not talking about muffins, Iβm talking about REAL cupcakes that do not have frosting on them, unfrosted cupcakes and muffins are different, say, you made a cupcake and didnβt put any frosting on it, itβs still a cupcake just without frosting, muffins are made differently Iβll even put the ingredients of both here:
Cupcake ingredients: Butter, sugar, eggs, and flour
Muffin ingredients: flour, liquid, egg, sugar, salt, shortening, and baking powder
See? They are different, just because a cupcake doesnβt have frosting doesnβt mean it is a muffin
Frosted Pop Tarts are garbage. The frosting is trash and tastes stale and the crust part is sweeter without it. Also, brown sugar cinnamon and strawberry are the only acceptable pop tarts, unfrosted version.
This mostly applies to the fruit filled variety, but it's true of almost all PopTarts. The "frosting" put on the tarts is way too sweet, way too hard/crunchy, and completely overwhelms the flavor of the pastry. Unfrosted PopTarts taste more like actual pastries, have a more balanced flavor profile, and the mouth feel is better too.
Unfrosted Pop-Tart
browned in my tiny oven
butter on both sides.
Would love to avoid single-use plastics, how else can I wrap cake layers for freezing/refrigeration? The beeswax sheets donβt get tight enough nor does aluminum foil alone....
Thatβs pretty much it. Growing up it was the classic frosted strawberry thatβs found everywhere from gas stations with limited selection but always had them to vending machines that generally only offer that flavor in a 2-pack.
But damn it I donβt really enjoy the basic unfrosted ones better. The flakiness to me elevates the ordinary to the kind of fancy pastry one might enjoy abroad.
And those pastry edgesβthe best!
Thereβs really not that much too it aside from the title. Unfrosted strawberry Poptarts are the best flavor of Poptarts and frankly I donβt even think itβs close. Whether itβs right out of the box, or bag I guess, or toasted no other flavor really comes close. Brown sugar and cinnamon is really the only frosted flavor I find bearable but I think unfrosted Poptarts are by far tastier than their frosted counterparts.
Exactly what it says above. I know pretty much no one agrees with me but I don't really like icing. I like sweets and I even like sweet breakfast (french toast with syrup is one of my favorite foods) I just don't want to eat straight sugar which is pretty much all you get from icing. I don't want some sugar glazed brownie sundae pseudo breakfast. I love the unfrosted cinnamon brown sugar Poptarts but they're so hard to find. Every time I see them I get so excited.
I always start by nibbling the unfrosted edges before I eat the center. Just wondering if anyone else eats their pop-tarts this way?
I'm not way into sweets, but I love the crust of a Pop Tart that is soft yet firm at the same time. I typically eat the crust and my gf eats the center. I kind of even dig the lack of flavor.
Simple as that. Unfrosted strawberry is my personal favorite, I feel like the added frosting is over rated and just gross. Simpler is better sometimes. Call me a monster I suppose
I grew up with cupcakes being frosted to the edge and I think it looks nicer and distributes the icing more efficiently, and is easier to eat. But most cupcakes I see nowadays leave a margin up to 1/2" of unfrosted cake. I would think also that would cause the cupcake to be in danger of drying out.
Can anyone explain, and are there still holdouts like me who do frost their cupcakes to the edge?
The emphasis should be on the filling (after all, the flavor is named for the filling). To me, the frosting is just hardened sugar glass and distracts from the filling within, and the texture is brittle and disagreeable.
