How far is the walk to churches once you park? How long does it take to get there? I have a 9'2 log so wondering if it'll be a pain carrying it for a while. Is it a flat walk or hill? Can't find a photo of the walking path online.
For a, for me, big DIY I will need some trestles to support some plate material while cutting/sawing. Would I be better of buying them or building them myself? And are there any proper plans how to make them?
I'm now the owner of a vintage teak trestle table that's gorgeous but unfortunately very wobbly. There are no obvious loose screws or dowels anywhere that I can see at least, and I've tried lightly malleting the leg pieces together, but they do not want to stay in place. The upper parts of the legs are strongly bolted to the tabletop, kind of nestled where the leaves are stored, so I don't think the problem stems from there. The bottoms of the legs in particular seem very splayed, and I think this is where the wobbliness is coming from. I've attached pictures of the whole table, plus closeups of the legs where the pieces have large gaps that should be closed.
Instead of wood gluing or nailing all willynilly and potentially damaging the piece, I'm wondering if anyone here has any pointed advice for making this beaut sturdy again. Grateful for any insight this sub has, thank you!

I am making a pretty straightforward trestle table for a kitchen nook that has a mix of fixed seating as well as chairs. The top needs to be 42βx67β, and I am making it out of white oak. Finished thickness of the top will be roughly 1 1/4β with breadboard ends. The pieces of the base are 1 3/4β thick. I have finished the two ends of the base, and have to decide on the length if the stretcher between them.
Hereβs the conundrum: My wife would like to be able to slide a chair all the way under the tabletop. I have measured the distance from the front of the seat to the back, and I would need 17β of overhang on either end.
Is this going to make the table too tippy and unstable? The feet are 29β long, so I should be ok on the short axis. But this would mean that my total length of the undercarriage would be only 33β long.
Thoughts would be appreciated - I need to make a decision on the stretcher so I can finish this darn table!
I'm making my cat some stair ramps mostly supported by legs. I'd like to do trestle legs (A frame) but I'm having trouble finding info on doing it on an incline.
Of course, I've never done normal trestle legs, either. I'll probably do at least bottom stringers with cleats on top, but is there engineering knowledge on what angle the legs should be at, and attaching them to the ramp? I'm happy to search for info if someone has better search keywords or a helpful website to recommend.
I also want to attach the ramp to my banister (on the right of the landing) without using screws. Any ideas?

I was planning on building a desk and using the Mittback trestle as both support and a place to store my desktop computer, since I work from home now and have to alternate between a desktop and a laptop - I'd like as much free space on my desk as possible. However, Mittbacks are sold out on the website and I'm not optimistic they'll be restocked soon. Has anyone had any luck with alternatives that have a shelf? I'm looking for open air, under desk storage. (FWIW, I plan on using an Alex drawer unit as the other desk support.)
