A list of puns related to "Transnistria"
It's a Moldavian breakaway state with interesting history (that unfortunately I know very little of) that seems to have abandoned a socialist planned economy in favor of a market economy while keeping soviet aesthetics which I find absolutely bewildering. What do you think of it?
In Harald's Transnistria video from 2016 Bald and Harald stay at the "Aist" hotel (you can tell visually even though they don't say the name, just google "the Aist Transnistria" which Bald references multiple times in this ISG post. Lest you had any doubt, you can get rid of it now. Although, granted, people on this forum already know what Bald & co are up to.
why no one talks bout Moldovia in Balkan subreddits?
Recognize transnistria. Stop oppression from the Moldovan government

Like I'm not sure, what to make of this?
I'm curious to know what life is like for the people that live in these unofficial countries. How do the people get by? Where do their politics lie? How close are they to true independence?
May god have mercy on me with this thread
Back with another report! This time, I took an 8hr overnight bus from Brasov, Romania to Chisinau, Moldova. Went to Autogara International Bartholomeu across from OMV and hopped onto my bus. Had no issues with the border control and I arrived at my stay very easily!
Trip length: 2 days. November 2021
Destinations: Chisinau, Transnistria
Transportation: bus
How to get to Transnistria: When you visit Moldova, you should most definitely visit Transinistra because of its interesting history and different culture. Plus, it’s a great half day trip from Chisinau, very quick. It took about 2 hours to see everything and incredibly easy to visit this territory. 1hr to get there and 1hr back.
What you need:
Bus & Border Control: Take the bus from the Autogara Central where you’ll see a bunch of white vans. Go to the front of the van and look for Tiraspol. Or ask anyone. Get on the bus and pay the driver 40 Moldovan Lei. Must pay in cash
Once the driver begins, at some point, you’ll hit the border and you have to get off the bus with everyone to go to border control. The officer will ask how long you stay, I’d recommend half day. They will give you a paper receipt (which you cannot keep—do not throw it out). Then, you go back onto the bus.
Then you will be in Transinistra! You can visit a few monuments, walk around, get some food. The currency conversion was 1MDL=1.10 Transnistrian Lei. You cannot use the ATMs They do not accept foreign cards (VISA, MasterCard, etc)—they only accept the Transinistra bank cards. You must go to a currency exchange office or bank to get Transinistra currency.
In order to get back to Chisinau, you need to visit the bus station near Kirov Park. You have to walk to the end of Lenin Street where it loops around—that is where all the white vans are located. You have to either pay the driver or go into the station to pay at the ticket office—I couldn’t figure it out so I just waited in the van until an employee/driver came by. This ticket to go back to Chisinau cost 55 MDL. Once you hit the border control again, the officer will take the paper receipt from you and you will be driven back to Chisinau.
Underground Cricova winery: There’s also the Miles Milestii. But you must visit either of them. The 120km underground winery at Cricova—You should book your tickets or reserve a spot online. Some people s
