A list of puns related to "Transience"
Link to card leak. Sorry if this was not spoiled correctly, I don't know how to mark a spoiler other than NSFW.
Not sure if enchantress (or bogles) wants this. Didn't see the other cards posted, though this one seems to be the closest to modern power level.
Just something to ponder over while we wait for more spoilers. I don't think this does anything amazing for either deck, but I'm not an enchantment expert. Any discussion about the card is welcome though. I for one am looking forward to more enchantment support in general. It could be fun to brew something around the Seals/Sagas depending on the amount of support they get this set.
In his latest podcast (I only listened to the youtube version) sam talks about how death is no big deal (i am greatly summarizing, obviously). But then he goes on and talks about humanity petering off or spreading through the galaxy.
Why should we care either way? Ensuring the continuation of humanity seems just as vain as spending your whole life trying to extend your own life.
I have notice a running theme among all known released characters from Inazuma that seems to be designed around subtle phenomena that are transient in nature, occurring for a short period of time at a time. During the 2.0 Livestream, one of the Dev semi-confirmed it with Yoimiya but I think this can be extended through the rest of the characters
This is contradictory because Inazuma is the nation of Eternity and the emphasis is on stagnation but at the same time, between the layers of contradiction, if one stop and be present to feel the phenomena deeply that time seems to stretch into eternity.
Here are some of my observations and what phenomena I think the characters are linked to:
Kazuha - Falling leaves
Ayaka - Frost/snowflakes
Yoimiya - Fireworks (duh)
Sayu - Falling asleep and waking up
Baal - Lightning strikes (duh)
Kokomi - Seafoam/bubbles/Going underwater
Kujou Sara - Patriotism/ The moment a bird open its wingspan to take flight
Guide to freedom went to venti which is the God of freedom, guide to gold went to the god that invented Mora.I feel like the description of teachings of transience talking about immortality makes them them a good possibility for Baal's talent upgrades
I'm trying to hurry on a rash of bad luck in our household. What do you all do to identify a source of bad energy and how do you encourage it to move on?
Okay by now most people should know that the Electro Archon is the God of Eternity right, and also everyone should know that her nation of Inazuma doesn't seem to follow said eternity, but rather follows transience. Although this nation seems to be about both of these at the same time, most NPC's and main characters have a view of Eternity that is more transient than a forever. The biggest example is Yoimiya, in her story quest, she mentions that she views Eternity in the memories that people have of the fireworks and that those memories should be preserved this questline aligns both transiences with Eternity as if the two are intertwined.
which would coincide with something Zhongli mentioned about the Shogun, don't know if you all remember the kite scene where we bought some kites for the rite of parting. Each kite represents one of the seven, when talking about the kite which represents the Electro Archon Zhongli mentions " The design of this kite displays a firm grasp on the cyclicality and eternity so dear to the Electro Archon". Once again something else is being associated aside from eternity, in this case, is cycles, not only but it is mention to be dear to the Shogun alongside eternity so what gives.
which then takes us to the Shogun herself a literal walking contradiction. while she claims to seek a never-ending eternity as mentioned by her ascension stone (although it says ONCE) everything in Inazuma is either about Trabscience or cycles in some ways, including the shogun herself, from the flowers to the butterfly motif, everything about her design speaks transience. All except for her personality which is very robotic and emotionless, which is not surprising why peoples theorize so much about her since she acts very suspicious, theses theories vary from "she's possessed" to "she has already lost her gnosis" to even "she is not the real Electro Archon".
though to me it would seem that her view on eternity has dramatically changed since Kazuha theorizes that the Shogun may not believe in her ideal the same way she used to. Remember both the Sakoku and vision hunt decrees only started one year before the game began so either the Shogun suffered a massive change or she may have thought of this for a while. Either way, it seems that the Shogun may represent either Eternal Transience or Eternal Cycles and it seems something or someone made her change her mind.
and that's it from all the info I have. if you have something to add please do.
Hi,
I have bits and pieces of a poem I love stuck in my head. It's a long poem with a trains/transience theme, and almost every line starts with like or as.
Some of the lines I remember (not verbatim):
I've been trying to google these lines but there's too much noise with things about hotels and chocolate, etc.
Thank you TOMT!
I've lost a lot of close friends throughout my life and this last year I lost my most important friend I've had since I was 15. She didn't die, she just doesn't want to be my friend anymore. Now my other closest friend is growing distant and I am becoming disillusioned and more reserved around others. I don't want to be like this.
I've got an itchin' fo'
Some time with my fishin' pole
I've got a hankerin' for some yankerin' on my line
Lean back and meditate on my life
Nothing quite like sitting back with a couple-a beers thinking 'bout people that I lost through the years
Kind well-hearted people that I love, they went and ran off to the great up above
kinda funny how now I find
just a fossil of a mem'ry buried in my mind
Yeah all I really need is my rod and reel
And all the time in the world to figure what I feel
Maybe one day it'll be enough
just to fish instead-a wishin' life weren't so tough
Not looking for any specific technical advice ofc, but Iβd be grateful if anybody could share their general experiences related to the following. Was perusing Rosenthalβs Transcendence book recently and came across this passage, which resonated heavily with my own TM experience (3 months in):
"These [blissful, cosmic] experiences are often transient at first, and there can be a certain letdown when they pass. The meditator may wonder, 'What happened? How do I get that experience back, the beauty of the world around me?' The experienced meditator learns not to expect such experiences, but simply to enjoy them when they occur."
Bingo, My first 4-5 days practicing TM were life changingβthe shift in perspective was profound and undeniable, the bliss was overflowing. Then I hit some rough patches in my practice, and have yet to really get back to that consistently blissful placeβthe bliss comes occasionally, in more muted form, then suddenly goes away for weeks at a time. Occasionally, itβs been hard to avoid the impulse to βdo too muchβ in an attempt to get back to that effortless state. Iβve done two checks, of some helpfulness, but the issue seems to return after that confidence wanes again.
I know that meditations can range greatly from session to session, and that anticipation of a particular experience is inadvisable. Even so, have you guys ever experienced long or worrying lulls in perceptible benefits of TM? How have you generally coped with this? Has your practice remained consistent or suffered as a result? Were instructor checkings any help? Etc. Any elaboration welcome! Itβd be nice to feel a bit less alone in this.
In empty cupboards
Bereft of knickknacks and family photos
Dusted silhouettes show
What used to be.
Finished packing, I swallow my pride, and the last dregs of beer in the house.
Jared chides me, says now we'll have to buy more--
The next time we see each other.
We'll be seeing each other again, in a couple months,
Once summer has come and gone
And we return to classes.
In an empty room
Packed full of suitcases
And stolen milk crates full of odds and ends
We sit in silence.
I turn the bottle in my hands,
Pick the label to confetti,
And roar.
And Jared laughs
Because I've roared
And he knows what that means
So he roars, too.
And we hug
And pack
And go back home
To bide our time
Until we can be somewhere
Safe
Again.
Hey O'Bro fans or Anton if you are reading this... can someone please tell me what the tuning is of the song Transience... Those high notes in the main riff... Much appreciated! Long live O'Bro!
