A list of puns related to "Tongue Blade"
UPDATE: Spoke to someone at Lee Valley Technical Support. Heβs looking for a tongue blade to try to replicate what I described. Will post an update here after our session. Mark my words, I WILL get this working and I WILL share my tips (if any) because there arenβt many out there on the internet.
Ok, after 7 months of waiting, I finally received my Veritas Combo Plane. I ordered the 1/4β tongue cutter as well and was eager to get going. And immediately the problems mountedβ¦.
The tongueβs depth stop gets in the way of the lever cap, preventing me from pulling the blade back for fine shavings. In fact, adjusting the tongue bladeβs depth stop defeats the purpose since I need a 1/4β tongue. This isnβt possible due to the aforementioned issue!
Then, the depth stop locking knobs on the skates do nothing! They are tight but the depth stops move regardless. In fact they (depth stop locking knobs) loosen on their own during use, which has completely ruined some cuts.
And lastlyβ¦the blade guide knob on the secondary skate doesnβt seem to hold the blade in place. The blade, after a very short while, seems to skew, indicating the guide knob came loose.
Iβm at a loss here guys and gals. 7 months waiting for this. Please let the problem be ME!
Anyone with actual experience with this specific plane + tongue cutters would be extreme helpful.
you heard me
"Alas," he hissed through his teeth, "you're finally ripe."
EDIT: THE ARTIST IS HIBERNAL
Iβve been seeing more and more support for the idea that only the mid section of the tongue needs to be raised, including a comment by John Mew on a somewhat recent popular post here. Is that true? What are your thoughts?
How does Green-Flame Blade interact with Flame-tongue Rapier?
If I use Green-Flame Blade after lvl 5 with my Flame-tongue Rapier ignited, do I still calculate the damage from the Flame-tongue Rapier to the first target I hit? Relying on the highlighted portion of the rules, it would seem so:
> As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with a weapon against one creature within the spellβs range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target suffers the attackβs normal effects, and green fire leaps from the target to a different creature of your choice that you can see within 5 feet of it. The second creature takes fire damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.
For example, say my attack hits, that means that the damage is:
