Too much tomentose, how to get good mycelium growth?
I’ve made 30 plates of various spore samples and they all look very fluffy. No contam, just all tomentose myc. Is there a way to encourage more dense growth. Possibly a temp change or something?
[actives] This was an experiment -put 2 different types of mycelium onto the same dish and to my surprise the tomentose (small wedge @ 9 o’clock) outgrew the rhizo (large wedge center right). Anyone know if this is common cause I thought rhizo is more aggressive?

Aye fam, just sharing some of the current transfers I’m working on. My goal is to isolate a monoculture for each trait (fat and tall). [Gourmet] I bought Pink Oyster LC from trusted vendor and first tested on agar and I came out clean. After that I prepared some grains and injected 2 cc into the jar and I got this after 15 days. It look healthy IMO but seems like just tomentose grow.

First time rhizo growth! G2A transfers. Been playing with spore swabs but have yet to get anything but tomentose.
My first bin was mostly tomentose myc but my second (pic) is almost all rhizo 😍 Same genetics, only difference is I left this one in my humid patio closet, grew way faster too!
Spotted something suspicious in the middle of my "petri dish". It has a slightly greyish color and an almost two dimensional growth. Don't know whether its just competing tomentose mycelium or contam. What dou you guys think? Tissue came from a g1 isolate. Transfer took place on 30th Sep.
