Tobiano Puns

I’m in chapter 2, is there any way to get the piebald Hungarian half bred, besides advancing the story? I heard there was a bounty hunter camp and I’ve tried for hours and can’t get it to spawn. Only shires and Belgian drafts. Any help is appreciated.

Currently playing the epilogue (potential spoilers!) and working towards 100% completion. I already have three very good horses I rotate through and I'm looking for a fourth. I found a Mustang and after some NPCs commented on it, I thought "cool, that's #4". However I've since found a Hungarian Halfbred which I like just as much! Obviously I can only keep one, which would you suggest?

Is there a way to obtain this horse as early as Chapter 2? I know they spawn wild in New Austin, and that you can automatically get one in mid Chapter 5, but I'd like to try and find one sooner.

So i found a new way to get the Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred in chapter 3 as Arthur that i haven’t seen in any guide anywhere. i’ve been trying to get this horse for a while now and thought i share how i got it for others. So during the mission, An Honest Mistake after the the shed burns down and your in the woods helping Charles and Bill fight off the guards two guards ride up on horses, usually Standardbreds or Hungarians, if one of them is the Piebald quickly run up to them and steal the horse, don’t get off until the cutscene happens, after the cutscene the horse will still be there and you now have a new Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred. this will only work after the shed burns down as it will run away once the shootout happens at the shed. Hope this helps with anyone who was in the same spot as me! :)

To those seeking a piebald tobiano Hungarian Halfbred- I was able to get one to spawn as one of the guards horses on the 3rd Lemoyne coach robbery, the last one you get by paying for a tip from Alden, the one with a two coach convoy near the railroad bridge. Be sure to make a save near the ambush location. And be prepared to reload that save a few times, but if your persistent it should spawn eventually. Took me about 6-7 reloads. I recommend taking out the drivers then all the other guards before going after the one with the horse you want. You can also get harder to find horses this way, but nothing outstanding, and they always end up female. The ones I’ve seen are wild bay mustangs, black and buckskin American Standardbreds, grey thoroughbreds, white roan nakotas, and tobiano American paints.
