A list of puns related to "The Rugrats Movie"
Iβm curious about animated competition, now these days when there is two animated movies opening one week apart (just like when Boss Baby and Smurfs opened a week apart), there one of them that is a hit (Boss Baby) and another one bombs (Smurfs) and we might get another one in May since Scoob! and SpongeBob 3 opening a week from each other. But what surprise me the most is when The Rugrats Movie and A Bugβs Life opened 5 days from each other and they weβre big hits which surprised me cause itβs hard for family movies to do well when both family films opened close or against each other because itβs expensive for a family to go out. Which that got me wondering! How did The Rugrats Movie and A Bugβs Life managed to do great despite opening five-days apart?
Does anyone remember the original Rugrats movie promos? They were Campbellβs soup cans with toys inside and holograms under the label. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F233181748573
A trip down memory lane in the form of a versus game on the video game for Nickelodeons classic/awesome children's movie: Rugrats in Paris :)

We have all seen Rugrats and we all remember their parenting bibles throughout the series written by Lipschitz.
Throughout the series all the characters are constantly quoting βLipschitz says...β and then later in the series we actually meet the man. He panics and does a shitty job of baby sitting and all around doesnβt seem to know what heβs talking about. We learn he also never had kids of his own.
I think the creators were probably tired of βdid you read?β Parents. If youβve had children you know how quick people are to give you parenting advice including people without kids like they know whatβs best.
I think they named the writer Lipschitz as in Lip Shits as in he was talking shit and didnβt have a clue.
Just a thought really.
Feel free to expand. Whos life do you want to see these 20 something years later?
Does anyone else relate to and look up to Stu Pickles?
The other day I had a really intense memory of the feelings I had watching Rugrats as a kid. I always knew that I wanted to be a parent and I was confident even at 6 years old that I would be way better at it than my parents. I think it's actually part of what got me through everything I've been through.
Here is a link to some info on stu incase anyone needs a refresher on who he is:
https://rugrats.fandom.com/wiki/Stu_Pickles
(text from link for the lazy)
Stu is a long-time inventor of various children's toys. The inspiration for this occupation is his infant son, whom he thought would enjoy playing with new toys created by his father. However, malfunctions usually occur with his inventions, and when his inventions do not malfunction, they scare the kids.
Stu is a fun-filled kid in an adult body. His favorite pastime is inventing. Aside from inventing and playing with his sons, he's mostly seen arguing with his older brother,Β Drew.
Drew andΒ Didi tend to scold him for not getting a more dependable job to help support his family, but Stu doesn't seem to like non-manual labor; when he once got a job selling lard, he showed great disdain for it.
Like the others, Stu gets tired of his father's over-exaggerated stories. Stu loves his family dearly, and goes to many lengths to keep them happy, even at his own expense. Sometimes he does the unnecessary to get people to like him.
I really relate to him because my dissasociation really makes me absent minded and i'm always trying to jerry rig some sort of toy for my kids. Or find a new way for them to use an old item and turn it into a new way to play. I find it really therapeutic because it is turning junk into joy. Kids don't need the newest greatest toys to have fun, half the time they end up getting the most joy out of things that aren't intended to be toys at all. I find something beautiful about that.
Reddit enabled live chat posts for the community so I figured we could try it out.
This has been on the tip of my tongue all week since I saw this picture of a Play-Doh shirt! Iβm pretty positive this cartoon scene had to do with opening a container similar to the ones on the shirt. But I donβt think they were actual βPlay-Dohβ containers. Iβm sorry thatβs all I got this is a weird one but it feels so vivid to me. My guess was Rugrats because that was my favorite show but I canβt place the episode or scene. But of course it could be so many shows. Iβm also sure that this show was not made after 2002/03.
