A list of puns related to "Thames Valley"
Hi!
Do you know of any good quality spraying sites in or around the Thames Valley? I live in Maidenhead and I'm looking to respray my bike.
I went to get a quote to have it wrapped but they told me they can't guarantee how long the vinyl will stay on due to the tank and side panels being satin rather than gloss.
So I'm now looking at painting it, but I would like to take to a place that does a really good job.
I'm looking to do something like this but in mate/satin:

Any suggestions?
Cheers
Had my first proper Road Rage Incident today, after years of cycling in London, whole out west in Crossrail territory where my mates lives
We turned left off a main road into a side road, pickup driver behind decides we didn't indicate (even though he's also turning left) so shouts abuse as he slowly overtakes and gives the finger through the back window
I WAVE back
Sigh. He slams on the brakes and comes to a stop and starts getting out and. Foolishly I go past him as he shouts abuse. He jumps back in and huts the gas. I stop in a nearby driveway, hoping he goes past as it's a country road and I didn't want him overtaking me. He floors it to come after me.
He skids to a stop about a foot behind me and starts jumping out so I pull a u turn and cycle back the other way, while his son shouts "Get back in the car dad"
Anyway he then drives away. I have all of this on front camera so I'm wondering how to handle it
Do I just submit the camera footage to the Dashcam portal with description etc and let TVP deal with it how they see fit. Or call them up and ask for it to be classified as an assault (even though he didn't physically touch me) so he doesn't just get a warning letter for a traffic incident and it's handled more seriously
Has anyone dealt with TVP before? I've only used the Met who are pretty good
Think I'll stick to central London roads after this haha
Hi!! Iβll be starting ST1 radiology at Oxford university hospitals. I currently live an hour away from the JR hospital. So want to move somewhere nearby. I am looking for 2 bed flats/houses.
Options I have considered -
Hospital Accomodation - Oxford has 3 hospital accommodation sites for flats. Ivy Lane and Arthur sanctuary house are the 2 bed flats options at John Radcliffe Site. Randolph court is the 1 bed flat option at Churchill hospital site. Any idea which one should be opted for / preferenced for ? Whatβs their waiting time ? Do I have realistic chance of getting flat accommodation given that most flat couple accomodation have very low turnover rate. How are their flats to live ? Any views which oneβs to avoid.
I have been looking for houses to rent in Headington and Marston. Most 2 bed options are very expensive and generally start from 1200-1300Β£. Are there any areas/postcodes where I can look for ? I am okay to live at max 15-20 min commute by car if I can find a bit cheaper accommodation.
On a side note, anyone here working in Radiology at Oxford, would like to know a bit about department.
Thank you for buying my housemates and me dinner....
JK, I called BMO and canceled the card! Don't want anyone to lose money during these tough times! Keep your attitude positive and your test result negative!
Edit: MY FIRST SILVER! Thanks for the awards!
Hey all. Was wanting to get down to Thames valley park early today. I checked their website and it said no parking until 9:30 but then I look on Google street view and it says 10:30. I think there's a couple of roads that don't have restrictions in the business park area but does anyone have any experience with these?
Uncasville is about 20 mins, Groton 30, Willimantic is about 40. Is Fine Fettle worth the extra 20 mins each way?
I once saw a map that has plans to extend the TVP into Riverbend and to Komoka Park. I have scoured the various London sites but cannot find it. Does anyone have any information on this or a link to map?
Is 40k a year too much?
Hi. I will be starting ST3 O & G Thames valley rotation for coming February. I am planning to move to the region with my husband, who is a non medic and will need to commute to London fairly regularly once work from home is over. We were planning to buy a house in my current location but now that I got a training job, we are reconsidering. The Thames valley seems to have a higher average house price and being on tier 2 visa limits my borrowing power. I don't know my exact rotation but will be rotating most of not all hospitals.
It won't let me post this, saying it was already posted, but from what I can tell, it hasn't been.
Good news for anyone who likes to take advantage of the Thames Valley Parkway trail! I used to bike all the way from Byron to Richmond St north of UWO, but now you an go even further!

Since moving back from The Netherlands I have been searching for a place that sells Tompouce in London/Thames valley. I have yet to find a place in person or online.
Hi there another ranking post (sorry guys!)
Hopeful IMT/ACCS Anaesthetics - ranking jobs at the moment
Just wondering if any of the IMT/ACCS Anaesthetic trainees can share their experience in these deaneries? I will try and rank the main university hospitals first in hopes that there will be more research going on but would I still be able to make contact with people from different trusts if I don't get into the main teaching hospitals?
I am keen on getting involved in research but my portfolio now is not fantastic, applied for ACF all rejections but still very keen to learn and get involved.
Any career advice very much appreciated. Thank you!
