A list of puns related to "Severn"
As a Michigan resident I've loved all the locations and geographic name drops in this show. Not only is it fun to see some place you recognize or have heard of, it's wonderfully immersive world building.
However, one location has bothered me, arguably the main location of the season; Severn City. It doesn't exist. I get why they chose to fictionalize the name for this local, but right from the get go I theorized what city it could be/where it was supposed to be geographically.
My initial idea was Grand Rapids as it's the largest metropolitan city on the West side of the state and has a pretty sizable airport. But then in the season finale we got a map. And not only is Grand Rapids on it, Severn City is right about where my home town of Kalamazoo is!
This was a really fun realization personally as I have a great fondness for the town. I don't know if it was the author's/show writer's intention to use Kalamazoo's location as Severn City but a weird coincidence is that Kalamazoo College has a residence hall called Severn Hall!
I realize this probably isn't very interesting to many people but I got so excited during tonight's episode and didn't know who else to share this with!
I paused episode 10 to read the description of Severn City to find a sweet little Easter egg. Text below:
βSevern City is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. While it has a small local population, only one major road in and out of the hamlet, it is home to a reasonably sized domestic airport often used for layover flightsβ¦"
Hi guys
First of all, I think it's really cool that Cheltenham has a subreddit :)
Secondly, I wondered if anyone could help. I've had a email from Severn Trent saying my water bill is ready. I log into my account and the bill says Β£224. Ok fine, I pay in installments and I live alone in a three bedroom house. Dont get many visitors, not wasteful and only one bath a week, maybe a shower every two days for example.
Further down the account page it says my balance is Β£789?! There's no way one low maintenance person could spend that in a year!
I've spoken to a representative and asked what is going on, he asked if I had submitted a reading recently. No idea where my water meter is so no, not since I moved in a year ago. So he said its probably based on an estimate calculated by the last reading, which was before I moved in.
Even so, it was only a family (of 4 I believe) that lived here before me. So even then it seems an insane amount.
They are sending out an engineer to take a reading, but can only give me an eta of 'sometime in the next ten working days'. The customer service rep also said it seems quite steep so could also be a leak in the supply.
I'm really worrying about this now, I work part time, I do not have Β£800 of disposable money. I wondered if anyone else on here has had a situation like this before?
Like I said, one person living alone, don't spend hours in the bathroom, I put the dishwasher on mayhe once a day or every two days and do my clothes washing once or twice a week. I'm perplexed.
Advice much appreciated!
From the map that Miranda was looking at, itβs obvious that Severn City is actually Kalamazoo, MI.
Iβll personally see that we build a βMuseum of Civilizationβ

I was watching a clip of Eugenie's wedding and I noticed that as Fergie and Beatrice walk into the church, James is walking in front of them. I was wondering if there was any significance to this. Fergie and Bea are mother and sister of the bride so that makes sense, but why is James apart of the procession. I assume it's because he was too old to be a page boy but they still wanted to include him since he is her first cousin and because his sister was helping with the bridesmaids. But I'm not sure. Either way, I think it was so nice of them to include him. Due to their young age, it's easy to forget that Louise and James are first cousins to most of the other royals, so it's really nice to see that they are involved with their older cousins.
When Clark was alone in the tower he pretend talked to Arthur. His Dialogue was:
>Arthur? Are you there? It's Clark. I miss you, old friend... despite myself. Listen, I really regret what I said the last time we spoke in Chicago. I have tried to protect your boy but I don't know how to anymore. He's like you in his way; Bold, indifferent to authority, singular... but he's a destroyer. And you were never a destroyer. I mean something here to these people.I've got responsibilities to everybody now and I don't think I've done anything wrong but it's time for Tyler and Elizabeth to go.
I'm not sure where Clark's hostility towards Tyler is coming from. Tyler's been a quiet but regular kid. I'm not sure where "Destroyer" is coming from and the reason for wanting Tyler and Elizabeth leave. Did I miss something? Was it because Tyler went to the forbidden plane? Does that warrant the "Destroyer" label because Tyler only did the decent thing by helping another human being?
What was his main signature and finishing moves?
Thank you.
