A list of puns related to "Swotvac"
Can't wait to plant my revision-turnips and then in the midst of an exam see a question that I know I would not have been able to answer if I didn't revise to the extent that I will.
And thus in my writing of that answer, I will smile, and I will HARVEST THOSE REVISION-TURNIPS AND FEAST UPON THEM.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
They just sent out a post saying only students who don't have access to a viable study space at home are gonna be allowed onsite for essential reasons only. Is that what everyone else's school is doing or just mine?
My days literally consist solely of study, tennis, sleep and repeat. RG is doing a heck of a job at keeping mental illness at bay for me lol.
Any tennis fanatics relate?
If you have 4 exams to do
I have a practical test for an anatomy class scheduled for June 2nd, smack bang in the middle of SWOTVAC.
Is this allowed? Any policy documents anyone can point me to?
Thank you in advance!

tl;dr Title. Also, this is both a question and a rant post for COMP30019. Takes the most time but gives that shittiest outcome. The good reviews are no longer true.
Question: Are the factors specified in the title are allowed in the subject? If not, who can I complain them to?
So this sem I took COMP30019 - Graphics and Interaction, based on the review that it was fun and exam was chill. But when I took the subject, the exam component was removed, and the project takes 90% of marks on the subject. This was not informed in the Handbook (it is still like that now).
Initially I thought that it was alright, no exams sounds chill. But then I found out that the deadline for the big project is on the Friday of SWOTVAC, which is devastating because I also have 2 exams on the following week's Monday and Wednesday, yet I have to spent most of my SWOTVAC time for the project instead.
We managed all anyway. But then the results came out. It was marked very harsh (we expected H1, came out with a low H3), and some criteria points seemed very subjective. I have not written any appeal yet so far (but I will) as I was preparing for another exam, but some fellows I know said that they were conservative, with answers like "We have told it somewhere in the tutorials".
With all of the following, I feel like this subject does not run as well as I expected, and I doubt that it is because they made those sneaky changes. I feel frustrated that I and other students have put the most effort in this subject due to it being very work-heavy, even on top of other subject's exams, but then they just take it very normally and give us a very low mark for some standard coming out of nowhere (for me personally, this is the lowest mark I have received this year, 6 points lower than the next lower one).
That is why, I think I might be able to make a complaint, if I found out that these uninformed changes are not allowed in the faculty. This subject takes the most time but return the lowest outcome. What are your thoughts?
BCompSci here, feel absolutely fucked atm.
Folks, I procrastinated this SWOTVAC by writing a tool to help find study spaces at Unimelb. You can find it at UoM Study Spaces
It shows a live estimate of how busy the university libraries are, using data provided by the uni. It's good to pop on your phone (add to home screen) to check on before you head to uni.
Enjoy, share it if you find it useful! Lemme know if you find any bugs, and leave some feedback / ideas in the comments!
Edit: Just added support for ERC.
Alrighty so coming from experience, I aLWAYS have some form of absolute low point during swotvac but this sem I felt good going into swotvac .. hahahahaha well Iβve hit the low point again!
So rather than just wallow in anxiety, I went fishing for advice and I figured sharing it here might just pick a few people up too!!

On the Redrooms website it says they are closing at 4pm during Swotvac! Why is this happening?! How am I meant to acquire my medicine after studying for 8 hours straight?! I dont want to leave campus and go to the RE or anywhere else, why cant they just leave the Redroom open? I am literally shaking with rage right now.
I've been on reddit...
I'm an RA at a residential college, and I would like to buy some nice things for my residents to get them through the toughest part of the study year. Some creative suggestions from you guys would be great! Suggestions should be cheap, small and buyable in bulk.
Some examples:
Cheers guys!
Do your worst!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
Pilot on me!!
hi there guys! how realistically, possible is it to receive an interview offer from monash med if you donβt have a 99 atar. i know UCAT matters heaps too and iβve heard the median atar that accepted students had was like 99.60 or something but i genuinely donβt think i could get anything more than 98.50 atar and a solid 91st/92nd percentile ucat score for 2022.
subjects im doing next year if that helps; english, methods, chemistry, specialist. i did physics and economics 3/4 this year and copped a 41 raw in both (though i do have to admit i fucked around a lot this year and rarely studied for sacs and only studied for physics during SWOTVAC).
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "

Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.

Idk how exactly to put this in words and who exactly to tell but you guys seem pretty supportive and I really need to vent.
I don't know what on earth is wrong with me but for the past few months I feel like my whole year has just gone down the drain and lead to absolutely nothing. I'm not a stupid kid I've managed to get 90s in the majority of my SACs and I've managed to stay ranking fairly high in all my classes, but this lockdown has really taken a toll on my education.
To begin with I've just been feeling super dry and demotivated and like a lifeless soul trying my hardest to study for my exams but I just cannot get myself to study or concentrate. I've gone from being a smart girl to an absolute dropkick and I did horribly on the English exam for which I didn't do a single practice essay, didn't read the books and only wrote one and a half essays on the exam. It is completely my fault but I just cannot study anymore I've lost my ability to do work like I used to be able to. For my upcoming exams I feel like I'm extremely unprepared and I cannot get myself to keep doing practice exams. I've done a handful for each subject and I keep making stupid mistakes and it's costing me marks. I keep telling myself that it's only a few weeks more of hard work but my brain is completely numb. My motivation to do well is completely gone and the only thing that comes to my mind is the repercussions of getting a shit ATAR....
Sorry for all the complaining but if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them
Good luck with all your exams everyone
Bob

Me grabbing a soda from my (what I thought was) half full 12pk...
Notices there's only 2;
Me: "Awe man... This is a damn bird box!" Her: "What the hell does that mean?!" Me: (Pulls both cans out & shows them to her) "It's only got Toucans."
I'm not ashamed to admit the look on her face was glorious.
