Found 2 Miles from the Kayenta Formation, it had just scratched the surface of Phoenix, only destroying two or so buildings. it then traveled to the Indian Ocean to briefly confront a Hunting Kraken - it later traveled to Europe in the Baltic sea and had started a collision course with an unknown titan. Said unknown titan and Storsjöodjuret are currently said to commence combat once they reach the Rhine river in Switzerland.

- MYTHOLOGY/CRYPTOZOOLOGY -
A Creature from Swedish folklore, the Storsjöodjuret resides in lake Storsjön in Jämtland in the middle of Sweden. The lake monster was first mentioned in a 1635 manuscript, according to which the sea/lake serpent was bound up magically in the lake's depths by Kettil Runske who carved his spell into the Frösö Runestone. other, more recent folk legends circulating locally in Jämtland claimed the monster was a product of tinkering by two trolls, and that it was a cat-headed creature with a black serpentine body. The folk-legend that circulated the Jämtland region provided additional details. According to this lore, "A long, long time ago", two trolls named Jata and Kata were on Storsjön's shore, each one brewing his cauldron at the lake for "days, weeks and months", until at last was heard "a groaning sound as if from a sick child" followed by a "loud bang... as if by a violent thunderclap", and out of one cauldron leaped out a strange creature with a black serpent-like body and a cat-like head, which disappeared into the lake (the trolls and the cauldrons too vanished as well, in a wisp of white smoke, leaving a gaping abyss). The monster dwelling in the lake became a menace to surrounding areas and grew so big as to encircle the entire island of Frösön and be able to bite its tail. Then came along Ketil Jamte who bound the beast by carving spells into a stone that was erected on the east shore of Frösön. Parts of the beast were still visible above the water-line, but it is warned that it could be liberated someday when someone deciphers the runestone.

Fridlysningen instiftades av länsstyrelsen i Jämtland 1983 och upphörde 2006 efter att ha gått via miljödomstolen till JO och tillbaka till länsstyrelsen i Jämtland.

Odjuret råkar nämligen vara fridlyst sedan 1986. Den sökande överklagade då till miljödomstolen i Östersund som också avslog begäran, med hänvisning till att odjuret är ”en vetenskapligt icke verifierad djurart”. Detta har nu i år fått justitieombudsmannen, JO, att träda in och undra om myndigheter verkligen ska behöva lägga tid på odjur, och om det egentligen bör finnas lagar som inte går att tillämpa.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
