A list of puns related to "Specops"
I'm on my 5th read through (obviously obsessed with the books.. Craig is just THE BEST <3) and I just had a question in the back of my mind during chapter 33.
Around the 00:55 mark of chapter 33 the gang is on their way back to earth.. blah blah no ships around in the vastness of space blah blah.. then Joe makes the comment of finding the remnants of a jump wormhole that is about a day old.. and they can't tell what kind of ship it came from.. the next thing he says, is that they jump into the Solar System around Neptune.
Is this the lost Bosphuraq ship that is mentioned several times later in the book?? It's just an offhand thought but now I'm intrigued. Any thoughts?
I want to know what the communityβs general consensus is on what comes to mind when someone says something like βI was SpecOps for X amount of years.β
CONTEXT: I play a game that has clans. Our clan leader said that he was ββ¦SpecOps for 10 years.β For me, this brings to mind SEALs, Force Recon, Deltas, etc. Ground Pounders running around warzones doing deeds.
During a recent conversation with the clan leader, he told me he spent his time in the military on Spectre Gunships, not in a ground unit. As a former Marine grunt with SOME SOC training (I am NOT SpecOps, nor did I see combat,) this seems to me to be a person grossly misrepresenting what they did in the military.
What say youβ¦ the real SpecOps operators? Are Spectre aircrews βSpecOps?β
I ask because this person is a YouTube/Streaming personality, and heβs out there representing your community, and I need to know if heβs wrong, or, if Iβm just overreacting?
Iβm trying to get an EOD contract and I was wondering if they travel more or less than other rates and where typical travel locations are for them. Thanks.
I had an odd dream that SpecOps had a semi-automatic sniper rifle as a weapon which dealt 100 damage(Not sure what level he was. Maybe max?). He had significantly bigger range and a heck ton of accuracy(Only draw back was hard fired slower, but not as slow as Sniper). Probably would be OP but considering how expensive he is, it might be justifyable, but for PvP it needs its own stats.
And delete Mars !!!
Thank you....
So, I finished the game and set on to beat the Mastery 3 -level difficulty in the Special Operations. I know you're meant to play them in co-op but they're still perfectly soloable but especially the higher level ones are INTENSE like nothing else in the game. No, there's no real point doing the hardest ones since you can get the same money by doing the other difficulties just fine but doing them (even though I've only completed one) at the highest Mastery at level 16 has probably been the hardest thing I've EVER done in a Far Cry game, and I know these games aren't meant to be played for difficulty but the challenge and the amount of heroics you have to pull off to not die really makes it feel like you're the underdog and not some juiced up superhero and I love that feeling. So many minutes just hiding in a bush waiting for the enemies to group up and creep towards you so that you can take them down all at once with precision shots, so many near-death moments of trying to douse the PG-240x with water while being chased by 10 special forces guys, 5 of which have RPGs with immaculate accuracy from over 100 meters away.
This was the ONLY time I had to ever break out some of the stronger gadgets like the heal syringe, the heat seeking throwing axes (which work great with the ability that makes gadget kills tag all enemies, btw) or the resolver dart gun with the cluster-upgrade (if you land all the darts it can take out one of those big choppers in one shot, and it works while sneaking too since it's a silent weapon, making it definitely a must for the ending since you'll be fighting a total of 4 of the big helis, 2 of which come at the same time)
I'm getting ready to play a Narrative Specops campaign, and I can see how completing VP actions and Tacops - the things that contribute to winning a match - feeds into earning XP and fulfilling Specops conditions.
But what about the net outcome - actually winning or losing the match? Does winning play into anything that is recorded on your team's dataslate?
I think after tinkering all weekend, I got the zombies mode I've been wanting to make working, but I haven't been able to fill up a server yet to test it. At this point, it should just be minor adjustments to damage for each team, total match length, etc.
Code: aad2w6
This mode gives everyone 30 seconds of warmup to find a place to hide. Then 1/4 of the players switch teams to WWII zombies. If humans survive for 10 minutes, they win. If zombies convert all the humans, they win. Every time a zombie is killed, it takes 10 seconds off the round timer.
Zombies take half health from normal attacks and .75 damage from headshots. They heal very fast and run at 1.3x speed. When a human dies, all zombies will see the position of the nearest living human for 60 seconds.
Humans only have a shotgun, pistol and grenade (incendiary is an option if you've unlocked it). They can choose to spawn as Irish and deploy barriers to keep zombies at bay, or Falck with a healing gun. Humans usually die in 1-2 hits.
Hope it works and let me know what you think. Thanks to many of the members here for their guidance on setting up rules.
What should the name of the skin be? Its a work in progress still, so here's just the helmet, which I feel fairly satisfied with.
If any artists have advice or criticisms, please tell me. The respirator to me and the lenses don't seem right.

I can't even open the weapon shop to purchase weapons in SpecOps. I'm not too low of a level (9th Prestige 137), and I tried up to round 15 just with ground loot weapons before I got pissed I couldn't buy anything. I can't even open the shop it just closed. My teammate had the same issue, I tried two different maps.
I also couldn't buy killstreaks, I can open the shop but I can't buy anything, I had over $21k and couldn't even buy as much as a UAV yet alone the $7000 juggernaut suit which I should've been able to buy three of. My teammate could buy from this shop (though he had less money than me).
The grenade shop works fine, I had no issues purchasing from that.
looking for demonstrations tackling medium combat zone's specOps clearing. Theories welcome; looking for anything that can clear < 12 minutes
