Looking to go on a shortish road trip. To get from Honingham/Norwich to South-end-on Sea, which out of these routes is the most relaxing/scenic?

Or maybe it's better to go along the coastline or some other route? Don't really want it to be longer than 150 miles though, due to battery charging concerns.
I am heading to Southend tomorrow for a trip to the beach with the children. Which is the best car park? I value a definite space over distance and price!
I am thinking of booking a space at the train station car park? Is that a good plan?

Visiting my bf's grandfather in a couple weeks in southend, came last year in Feb and I convinced him to go to Kew (I'm a botanist/ plant enthusiast) but looking for other things, he's been coming here his whole life and doesn't like/want to do toursity things. I asked his family and they gave me some shopping suggestions but I'm more of a hiking or garden type of person. Since his grandfather is in poor health and we're short on cash I'm trying to find stuff that is reasonably close. Looking at Colchester and maybe frinton on sea as day trips? Any ideas would be welcome
