Wonderful sour cream brown sugar icing from Grandma
I posted here looking for this and now I cant find the original request. But interestingly I had the recipe all the time. It was in Ruth Berolzheimerβs Culinary Arts Encyclopedic Cookbook (1938). It is so good I have to share. I seem to remember Grandma only using brown sugar but I made it exactly as the recipe and it came out perfect.
Caramel Fudge Icing
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup sour cream or sour milk
(I used sour cream like Grandma)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp butter
Combine sugars and sour cream and cook to soft ball stage (238F). Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla but do not stir. Cool to lukewarm. Stir until spreading consistency. If needed a few drops hot water may be added if it gets too thick.
Wonderful on Graham Cracker cream cake with vanilla custard between layers. (Use any 2 cup flour cake recipe substituting 1 cup graham crumbs for 1 cup flour and almond extract for vanilla. Although vanilla is good too. 14 squares graham crackers equals 1 cup crumbs.

A sugar relationship gone sour
I had a Sugar Daddy that was married and wanted for me to know his wife and basically be poly with him.
He stopped giving me an allowance and basically offered me to move in with him. He lived far away, in area where you can only commute with a car (I take public transit).
I never accepted this until I found a training program where I needed to be without work.
Unfortunately I moved in with this sugar daddy and am now on the position where he does not want me on his home anymore. I have limited money and have to move out ASAP. I cannot follow my plans and study that program anymore.
I will have to get in debt to move out as I don't have enough money/a job right now.
My skin broke out in acne because of the stress.
It's hard to even keep a relationship with him when I feel so betrayed.
Any tips to move forward?
