A list of puns related to "Showbiz"
Just curious - how many people here have been with Muse since the Showbiz days ? As a 37 year old who bought the Muscle Museum single on its release , Iβm starting to feel like Iβm part of a minority here on Reddit !
Iβm Interested to see if there are other fans since Showbiz about in this thread and get their take on the constantly evolving Muse.
So about a month back, I had a script request from a producer. No one huge, but he had some decent IMDb credits.
I sent the script to him, and a week later, we hopped on a call.
He told me that he liked the script a lot, but wanted to send some development notes. He also mentioned having access to about half a million in funding and thought the budget of my script fit perfectly with what he was looking for. We started talking pre-production, potential shooting dates in 2022, the works.
He asked for a week to write notes and then we'd talk next steps.
We end the call -- I'm a little excited, but didn't get any hopes up until papers were signed.
A week went by. Then another. I sent my first polite "just checking in" email. No response.
Another two weeks. Another "just a quick follow up!" email. No response.
We still follow each other on socials. He posts like once a week.
I get that this just happens in this industry, but why go from "I want to fund your film" to total ghosting? Would a third "just wanted to see if we're still doing this" email be overkill?
Should I not give this more thought and just move on?
The ones I have watched so far :
β’ The Beauty Inside
β’ So, I married an Anti-fan
β’ The Devilish Joy
I can't remember others.
Small-time being people who don't get much work in their field, but they return for something they did in the past as a revival or something.
Halo Infinite: There were >!space illusions of Captain Keyes!<. I checked >!Keyes'!< voice actor on IMDB to see if he's the same voice actor as the previous games and he is, >!Pete Stacker!<. As I checked, I noticed he doesn't have much work in entertainment and Halo is the only thing he's worked on since >!the first game!<. So I'm surprised he comes back for this role for 20 years as his only gig.
Edit: I notice I misspelled "they're" in the title.
David Spade hosted a short-lived entertainment show ("the Showbiz Show") from 2005-2007. In one episode, he showed a montage of Vin Diesel appearances on talk shows. The joke is that Vin Diesel says exactly the same thing, word for word, in every interview. "Just a quart a day of ice cream." "I read a book by Sidney Lumet" etc.
The clip was on YouTube but was struck by ViacomCBS. My goal is to find that clip of Spade lampooning Vin Diesel, or at least to figure out which season and episode it's from. I've figured out that it's not season 1, but I can't find episode guides for season 2.
Basically what the title says. Drop those book recs yβall! Itβs getting colder outside and Iβm single so Iβm cuddling up with a book this winter lol

At about 30 seconds in, he starts playing in a way that seems almost impossible to me, some sort of skwisgarr skwigelf sort of shit.
He's my buddy, but he's super humble about his playing ability and maybe I'm mistaken and I don't know enough about guitar, but I haven't ever really seen anybody be able to play like this aside from some of the historical greats.
I feel like somebody here knows somebody who should at least be aware of this dude exists. I feel like he's a rockstar and just doesn't know it yet and needs the right band/producer looking for someone with the image and playing ability.
He didn't ask me to do this, and he doesn't even know that I'm doing it. I just honestly think he's so impressive that I feel like telling him to quit medicine and go be a rock star.
I'm Dr. Powers and this is my random post of the week.
