A list of puns related to "Seismometer"
all it says is "cluster unable to process seismic event, cluster is not powered" but it IS powered. there is three solar panel things to one seismic slam. how do i make it work does it need more power? what's happening? all theory's are welcome!
So I had a deployed seismometer near the south pole of Moho, and I noticed that a very early probe that once did a flyby of Moho was due to another encounter. It had an elliptical orbit around the Sun, roughly AP at Kerbin's orbit and PE at Moho's.
I tweaked its trajectory just a little bit so that it would crash near Moho's south pole, then recorded the impact:
Sadly, the scientist that deployed it was only level 3, hence the 60% setup score. A five star scientist would have made those 754 science points into 1257 science points in one go. Still, I'm quite proud of it :)
What's your best score with that experiment?
PS- I also have a 50% science yield converted to credits policy, I'm not sure how that's factored in in the result message. Should I multiply the outcome by 2, or have I actually earned only half the written science?
I cannot for the life of me get the Seismometer of the Ground Science stations (Breaking Ground) to work. I'm aware I need to impact stuff. I'm aware it is very buggy with placement when placed via construction mode rather than from the ultra tiny kerbal inventory.
The station is set up, connected, powered, enabled. When I impact rockets into the planet I get a text on screen saying it didn't record because it's not enabled.... what do I do wrong?
Sorry for glowing hud, Win11 auto-hdr doesn't work well with screenshots.

You can complete Forza Horizon 5 Find A Location For The Seismometer mission following this video guide.
I love fishin as much as the next guy, but it needs be noted that the ol mud gulch a couple blocks from the pond is no longer the same- it's a dry culvert at best. I set up my seismograph and the results are in, the earthworms have packed it up and are moving out to muddier waters. Call it climate change, but i call it karma, the boys have fled the stable and we're none the wiser but for a bit of science and quick thinking. If anyone else has a seismograph that would be enough to get their heading. All we need to do is triangulate their coordinates and we'll get em while their pant is down. Barbecue tuesdays are gonna be tough without a steady supply of crappie, so everyone stay alert and let us fisherpeople know if you see the earthworms aboveground.
