TIL Smuckers owns a patent for all “sealed crustless sandwiches”. It includes any “edible food” that can be placed between two circular layers of bread with crimped edges. However, no other companies own patents for pie crusts or ravioli processes because they're considered common/simple ideas.

Hi all, are there any good springform pans that don't leak out the bottom when you're baking a cheesecake without a crust? Unfortunately I know from experience that my pan leaks out the bottom when there's not a crust to contain the liquid ingredients.
I need it because I'm baking a cheesecake that's going to be placed in between 2 cake layers so there's no graham cracker crust. My other option would be to bake it in a regular cake pan, but I need to freeze it and I'm worried about getting it out of the pan when it's frozen, or maybe that'd be fine and it would pop right out?
