I realized I still haven't seen BSO performance yet and want to go. Ive never been to an event like this.I don't know which conductors or pieces would be great to see, I only recognize the original composers names (Beethoven Mozart etc).
Should I just pick one conductor/date and go, would it even matter as I really don't have a discerning taste for classical music?
Do I go BSO, Pops, Symphony hall?
What do I wear? Formal evening wear? White gloves and a feather boa? Kidding but I have no idea on proper attire. I know at least you dress up fancy for operas.
Would appreciate anyone's advice on how to approach BSO!
I feel like most of us here are terribly ashamed of our slighter-younger selves. The breaking point for me was 'I'm not afraid of Covid' with total naiveity of the wider issue of protecting the vulnerable.
