From what I can tell the legend of Sargon of Akkad is very fragmentary, but it influenced many other legends, like Mosses, and we can sort of reconstruct how it originally was:

Someone had a baby, but they couldn't keep it for some reason, they hid him in a basket in the river and it was found by someone in the king's court, leading to the child growing up in the palace as a cup bearer

Then the King came to fear this child. Some versions attribute this to strange dreams the King had, to dreams the boy had, to the boy and the princess being in love... Whatever it was, the King decided to kill him but failed a few times

Then the King gives a letter to this boy and orders him to deliver it to an ally King. What Sargon didn't know was that the letter was actually a message asking the ally king to kill the boy delivering the letter, which I must point out is the plot of Kangaroo Jack

Then the story becomes really fragmentary and all we know is that somehow the boy not only avoids being killed, but he overthrows both kings, he marries the Princess, and he forms one of the first empires in history, ending the era of City States in Mesopotamia

The end

This is a very good founding myth, but what do modern historians think about it?. Is it purely legendary?, or is there some truth to it?

I lean on the side of this being complete fiction because I just can't conceive how Sargon could have made the leap from being sent to deliver his own assassination order to being a King. It's a cool story, but I don't see how that could happen in real life... but maybe other details could be true, I don't know

How do you even respond to such stupidity? Why is everyone a tankie to him? The word tankie has meaning anymore. I'll take a tankie over a tepid ass neoliberal anyday.

I have a problem and I haven’t read about anybody reporting on this, so I really hope you can help me out.

Here’s the situation: I’ve completed the game once as Alexios. During my playthrough, I’ve bought some items from Sargon, including the bracers from the Nemean Lion set.

Now I’ve decided to start a new playthrough as Kassandra. This time, I wanted to use the Nemean Lion set for a build I wanted to try out. However, after buying Helix Credits and purchasing the set, the following happened:

On my Kassandra save, I got 4 (of 5) pieces: everything except the bracers. On my Alexios save, I have 1 (of 5) pieces: the bracers, but nothing else. Conclusion: although I’ve spent the money, I still can’t use the full set, because it’s split up between two seperate saves and characters.

What do I do? How can I fix this? Do you have any suggestions?
