A list of puns related to "Saint George"
Saints Volume 2: No Unhallowed Hand covers the period from 1846-1893. Much of the book recounts the Saints dealings and frustrations with the federal government due to the Church's polygamous practices.
With this conflict as an important theme throughout the historical account, I anticipated reading about the 1877 visitation of many of America's founding men and women to receive their temple ordinances in the St. George Temple (as shared in Wilford Woodruff's journals) to be a prominent part of the history.
However, this was entirely absent from the book. Does anyone have insight as to why?
Like am I only able to take first year courses at Saint George because those donβt have prerequisites.
Letter dated January 1507
Our states find themselves aligned with your Republic in a struggle for our very existence. If Savoy should fall then Genoa will without question be next, subject to whatever government the French King will impose upon you, not one elected by the great families of the city. It is therefore in the interest of the Republic and its notables that the Duke of Savoy is able to maintain his armies. We, therefore, request a loan of 400k. To be repaid, once peace is concluded, at a rate of 10k per year, over a period of forty years.
Signed on behalf of Maximiliano, by the Grace of God Duke of Savoy and Prince of Piedmont. Count of Aosta, Nice, Geneva, Morina and Chibilaise. Marquis of Irva and Susa. Baron of Vaud and Faguceny. Lord of Pinerolo and Verceli. King of Jerusalem and Cyprus and Armenia.

[Not really a celebrity, but George Floyd. He put a gun to a pregnant girl's stomach in an attempt to rob her, and was also on drugs at the time of his death. Who knows how often he was using. Don't get me wrong, he shouldn't have died the way he did, but the media pai
Up for anything. Just friends? Sure, let's watch shitty movies and make fun of them together. A fellow fatty looking to lose weight? Let's do it together! Want to get married on the spot? Hey, why not?
So i have been reading about saint George and ofc eventually looked at his wikipedia page, surprisingly i found out that apparently he is venerated (if that's the word) in Islam. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_George link for ease of access. I saw the same said in some other sources and sites but i never really found anything indepth and no muslim i know knows anything about saint George. Does he have actually have a place in Islam? I would like to hear anything that is to be said about him. And a follow up question, if Saint George has importance in Islam and is venerated... Then when do muslims consider Christianity to be corrupted? As far as i am aware in time of George Christianity was a popular religion and somewhat established, with soon it being legal and i think portions of bibles survive from around that time. If Christianity was already corrupted by then isn't what saint George believed into considered corrupted? If not then do muslims believe that Christianity somehow corrupted after it became that established?
Sorry if my question has some fundamental misunderstandings of Islam and Christianity
