A list of puns related to "Ross School Of Business"
I am a trained pharmacist who got into the University of Michigan and University of Illinois part-time MBA online program. I hope to get your thoughts on getting an MBA and a typical return of investment with an MBA.
I am doing this because the job market for pharmacist is getting more competitive. Plus, I am open to doing business consulting (worked on past projects before) but don't care for the big 3 firms.
If the University of Michigan is $120K and the University of Illinois is $22K, is ranking/prestige/reputation of UM worth the 100K difference?
The biggest selling point for UM is the network/recruiting. How much weight would you place in alumni network?
I'd be super thankful for any input, and please be realistic with me lol. Not sure if my resume should have been more business-oriented and whether or not I'm underestimating my chances.

So at the moment i'm considering enrolling at the University of Michigan's MBA program to make a career switch in to consulting, like most people i assume. Before making any decisions, im looking at the tuition and cost of living for the 2 years ill be there, and if we're going to over estimate im looking at possibly 180k. Also, with me coming from Canada and the exchange rate, that would turn out to be 220k.
The numbers are just crazy when i think about it, but i dont see anybody else on here worrying about these large loans. Debt is not something i want to be stuck in forever where i cant manage to pay this back. Is it easy to pay off once i finish? Am i worrying about something that is not that big of an issue? I want to take this step but the loans are frightening.
What do I submit here? I got to the SlideRoom part where I see the forms and the second stage is Portfolio. It asks me to upload something. What do I upload here? What is it for?

Hey guys, I recently got admitted as an external transfer student at the Ross School of Business and I wanted to know which are the best means of transportation to make it to Ross from Northwood III Apartment (North Campus)?
For people why know about UMich/Ross Business school - Is there a difference between the Michigan Admissions Team and Ross Admissions Team? If so, does the Ross Admissions team only read the Business Portfolio? Or do both sides read everything? Thanks for the help!
I'm very confused on what exactly a document or artifact is, here's what the text says. >Upload a document or artifact that represents something significant about your life to show your learning in action. Describe how your artifact demonstrates your learning in action. Please limit this response to approximately 250 words.
I'm also wondering if there is a completed essay I can look at to see what exactly I should be doing (for the first question, as well as the second question). here's the link for both the questions in case anyone is wondering. https://michiganross.umich.edu/programs/bba/application-requirements/preferred-admission
Hi guys, I've got 3 options that I am trying to weigh right now.
UT: I'm currently living in the state of Texas, so I'd receive that sweet sweet instate tuition cost, although I fear for the lack of diversity in Texas.
CMU: Probably the strongest academically, but I'm not too confident about the student life on campus
UMich: Farther away, but runs the risk of OOS public
I'd like to end up at a top 3 management consulting firm in the Northeast. I value a strong social life while still maintaining a rigorous academic curriculum. I would be paying full tuition at every school with a few independent scholarships. Where do you guys think would be best for me?
I was, very fortunately, admitted to the two schools above and right now consider them to be my two top choices. For more info ab myself, Iβm from NYC so Cornell is about 5 hours by car and Ann Arbor is a 2 hr plane flight.
The biggest factors Iβm considering are
For more info about myself, Iβm interested in potentially double majoring in economics/business administration and comp sci. Not exactly sure as to where I hope to work, but I donβt think that finance/investment banking is for me.
MY THOUGHTS
Ross and Dyson are both recognized as top undergrad business programs, with what I presume to be the same high quality of academics. In the end, itβll come down to financial aid and βfit.β Iβm looking to choose the school with a lower-stress environment and better opportunities.
Ross PROS
Its a plane flight awayβit might sound weird but just going on the plane flight alone feels like Iβm going on a vacation/escape from home.
UMich has a near incomparable social scene. I visited and could see myself exploring Ann Arbor for the next few years
Slightly larger student pop. than Dyson (~400 to ~200). Resultantly, a potentially larger network
More opportunities to double major/minor (at Dyson, you can only double major within the school of agricultural life sciences)
CONS
Its a plane flight awayβcosts will add up and itβll be quite difficult transporting all the stuff I have at home
predicted to be more expensive (Out of state resident = $$$)
with the risk of diseases like Coronavirus, it may be in our best interests to stay away from airports and to live closer to home
Dyson PROS
only 5 hrs away by car. Far, but itβs not a whole plane flight.
most likely better finaid package (in-state + private school financial aid)
ivy league recognition (widely regarded and respected) & highly selective program (<5% acceptance rate)
considered (I think) less hyper-competitive schools and w/o grade deflation at Cornell
might get to meet the former pres of Nintendo of America (Reggie)
CONS
imposter syndrome
ivy league name tag (others first thoughts might be that Iβm conceited or an elitist)
Would love to hear any of your thoughts and comments!
Hello! I was recently accepted by UMich EA into their Literature, Science, and Arts (LSA) program. UMich Ross has this thing for business school where there are essentially two rounds of admissions. Does anybody know the acceptance rate for Ross applicants once they get past the initial screening?
