A list of puns related to "Rockwell"
* The lathe has been sold. You guys just HAD to go and get me all excited about it, didnβt ya? ;) I guess now I know what sort of thing Iβm after in the future though!*
***Hi! Sorry if this sort of "Hey, I found this on Craigslist. Should I buy it?" type post is frowned upon around here. I totally get it. Mods, please remove if that is the case.***
I occasioning turn on a spring pole lathe if I need to scratch that itch in my woodworking life. I am in no hurry, but someday I think I'd like to own a power lathe. When that day comes, I think I would primarily be looking at getting an old Craftsman/Delta/Etc. lathe because I am mainly interested in spindle turning, I would enjoy a bit of a lite restoration project, and frankly... I just like old iron!
This Delta-Rockwell 1460 (at least i think that's what it is) caught my eye recently. A couple questions:
-Even though the 1460s seem to have a very good reputation, $600 OBO seems to be a little steep, no? Even with the cast legs.
-How do you change speeds? I really have no experience with this, but I don't see any obvious way to loosen tension on the belts which I would think would be necessary in order to change their position.
-What's up with the funny looking on/off "switch"?
That's all. Thanks! Again... please ignore, if this sort of thing is a real nuisance around here!
I'm supporting a site that has FT Historian SE running - They want to add more points but are about to exceed their no of licensed points. Okay, just buy another license for another 250 points, this should be easy. I received the license and activated it in FT Activation Manager, it shows up there but the "in use" number is not changing from 0 to 1. Hmm
Turns out this is a new activation that Historian running on site cannot detect. Rockwell's solution? Just upgrade Historian to a newer version. Go to hell Rockwell
After 37 years in the vx industry I've seen alot of bullshit and yesterday I got to work with a Rockwell-futec mt900s-ia350, these fucking dipshits at futec seriously jacked the operating system out of a blackberry cellphone. Also why the fuck did they use Chrysler gears and bearings connected to a reliance 240v-400ah-567wh with a tremic pipe on the third, seventh, and twenty second stator, I thought everyone stopped pulling this bull shit after the Milwaukee meat packing factory disaster of '91.
[Now updated: I will add these into a new report later this week or next, but they will be saved here first. See bottom.]
β’ r/ AuthoritariansDiscuss needs to be banned ASAP for un-ironic, unapologetic, blatant support for National Socialism, antisemitism and white supremacism.
In this poll, the community openly celebrates prominent American Neo Nazi, antisemitic and white nationalist leaders George Lincoln Rockwell (head of the American Nazi Party), Francis Parker Yockey, William Luther Pierce (author of antisemitic/racist race war novel The Turner Diaries) and Willis Carto as "based":
β’ 55 votes for Rockwell, 30 for Yockey, 8 for Pierce, 3 for Carto.
Comment selection, including support for segregation, deportation of African Americans, antisemitism (accusing other members of being Jewish):
>Yockey for one simple reason. Yockey created a mythos for the White American struggle. Something none of these other men did. Yockeyβs Imperium is a must read for any American interested in White Nationalism .Rockwell was an organizer first and foremost. His work with Malcom X is truly admirable. Offering the Nation of Islam a fresh start for all Africans in America as was the original plan after the American Civil War. Deporting all Africans to Liberia.

>William Luther Pierce was a spokesman. He gave a single voice to the White Nationalist community. Though at times too radical. Almost living in a fantasy world thinking race war is around the corner. Rockwell was far more pragmatic, understanding American history and truly believing in Lincolnβs vision of deporting the African races after liberating them from slavery. +12

What it's like being a Rockwell customer. Firmware V32 causing corrupted tag values, mysterious safety anomalies. Forced to flash up to V33 to fix firmware 'anomalies'. Asset Centre can no longer backup V33 PLC's because it doesn't the server doesn't have V33 yet. Pay $250/hr to send a tech to our facility, because we know the upgrade is going to be a circus, and support will always blame the user for problems unless you make them do it themselves. Of course the upgrade doesn't go as expected, even with the Rockwell guy doing the work. Pay the Rockwell tech hourly rate to sit on hold for 2 hours waiting for rockwell phone support (that we pay thousands of dollars to have access to). Finally got it (mostly) working after coming back for a full 2nd day on the job. Not even trying to bash the Rockwell tech, just the software and support in general going downhill fast. Each new software/firmware revision fixes 2 problems and creates 3. How bad is your software when we have to pay one of YOUR guys to upgrade it, and it still takes 2 days?
Iβve been looking at starting up a legal grow, and after lurking have noticed a lot of the big commercial companies use larger (6x6β) cubes with top down watering hook ups, this looks ideal to not have to deal with soil, but how do yβall deal with the root systems? is there a trick to it or am I missing something? Thanks
