A list of puns related to "Progressive Era"
Something about the bleakness of the Great Depression always gets me. I don't want anything like It Happened One Night, where its simply set in that era but doesn't highlight any aspects of the time. Make Way For Tomorrow is a closer movie to what I'm looking for.
I've seen Paper Moon and a lot of the popular ones set during this time.
The Progressive Era movies where America is at the turn of the century or close to it, and it's experiencing change. Preferably movies also with a historical aspect tied to it.
I loved Meet Me in St Louis and Ragtime.
Hi!
I am moving to PE this afternoon and trying to figure out which barracks to build to get troops with Alcatraz. Now I am in LME and fight with 1 rapid unit + 7 rogues if there are artillery / 1 heavy unit and 7 rogues otherwise. What do you recommend for PE?
Thanks!
I'm referring to stuff I'm hearing on ASOT and ABGT from DJs I used to love, like Estiva, Marcus Schossow/Gardenstate, Andy Moor, Cosmic Gate and PROFF... there's no versatility to any of it lately. Are these guys just working extra hard to make a good buck off of releasing through Armada and Anjuna? I have no idea. I promise I'm not bashing, I'm just not into this new progressive sound...

Examples of things that could happen in another progressive era are:
Medicare for All or other universal healthcare
Green New Deal
Pro-life movement dies down
Massive gun control
Minimum wage increases constantly
Electoral reform (Electoral College is abolished)
Democratic Party progressive faction massively grows
Hi, I am a high school student who is interested in history. Recently I thought of a question I haven't thought of before: in which ways was (non byzantine) Europe better than the roman era? Now I am pretty sure it was not better in the vast majority of things to compare to, but I am interested in ways in which the medieval era was progressive.
I say non byzantine because I am pretty sure there are historical debates on if the empire was the eastern continuation of rome, and I want to avoid that discussion.
Thank you to everyone who answers, I appreciate the time it takes to answer these questions :)
And damn, it's like I'm starting a new game. I do not have nearly as much room as it looks like I'll need with two lane roads and these giant buildings. Population looks like it's going to be a problem immediately, and I was fine all the way through Industrial.
To top it off, I have a crate hovering over my freakin' Town Hall that it won't let me collect! Is it a glitch, or am I insane, or what?!
I can't spend money on diamonds to buy expansions. I don't mind grinding. But this looks pretty rough.
Hi. Wondering people's thoughts on the best era to stay in for a while between Modern and The Future, before Arctic Future. Any to get through quickly? I'm in Progressive Era, and could jump ahead any time.
I like the look of Contemporary Era, and maybe as a side note, do value aesthetics, but am interested in a range of reasons to stay / progress quickly.
so i have been sitting with this question for a while now. Im currently in the industrial age and i completed the entire research tree. Because i was very late with producing industrial age goods im planning to stick around a little while longer to get a bit more resources so that i can have a good start in the progressive era and get tanks as fast as possible. My question was when im able to go the progressive era battle map. I would like to now this because then i can already start preparing building those good buildings. I hope anyone knows the answer to this because that way im able to plan out the strategy better. Thanks in advance :)
That era was full of classics, I know many people hate on it but it was just god damn fun.
The sets were just full on high energy, and got the crowds going nuts at major festivals. Its an unpopular opinion but I really wish the industry would start shifting back to that style.

The narrative that I've most often heard is that American policy became more "paternal" and focused on assimilation but it seems like Americans had always been trying to force Native Americans into a white lifestyle. What had actually changed during the time period?
I've been camped in the IA for a while. I finally have an Arc, other GB's are past level 10. My city is kind of mess because I've just been shoving stuff in where I can find room. I want to redo the layout of my city and make it more efficient and make room for another GB or two. However, when I preview the technologies in the Progressive Era it appears that the roads will need to become 2 lanes. This will make a big difference on how a city can be laid out. Should I just stick with the mess I have now until I decide to upgrade to PE?
At the start of the Progressive Era around the 1890βs there is a jump in the number of working women and as the centuries change into the 20th, the number rapidly increases. With the help of documents and primary sources, a first hand experience is able to be shown and womenβs voices are able to be heard. The growth in working women can be seen through their experiences on the types of jobs they had, what is was like for them especially being female, and how they felt about their place in society and their response.
