A list of puns related to "Primacy"
So apparently there's this thing in the Catholic Church called the Primacy of Conscience, where if you truly believe that the church is in the wrong about a given thing, then you can follow your conscience, even if it disobeys the Church. They kinda gloss over this a bit.
Which, it's great that it's there, because it allows people in the church to be not as awful as they officially should be, it also just makes no sense. I started to get pulled back because of this loophole, until I realized it just doesn't make any sense with the claims that the RCC has.
It is straight out admitting that the Church is not led by the Holy Spirit. If the Church were truly led by the Holy Spirit, then no good person would have their conscience go against it. Because if my conscience tells me to do something contrary to what a church supposedly led by the Holy Spirit teaches, it can only mean one of two things.
The first is that I would be in the wrong. My conscience is contrary to the Holy Spirit and something in me should change. The second is that the church isn't really led by the Holy Spirit at all, and the church is making false claims and why should I follow them? There's not really room for a third option.
It's one thing for an organization, even a spiritual organization, to be wrong. But it's another to be wrong while claiming to be infallible. Idk, from where I stand, it looks like the whole follow your conscience thing was a move to try and keep as many followers as they could when they were rapidly losing people.
For most of its history, the Star Trek franchise was based around an ensemble model. The writing rooms took pains to distribute not just screen time but narrative importance to all of their characters. This wasn't equal distribution by any means, but it happened enough that we could classify episodes by the character(s) they focused on, i.e. Brothers is a Data episode, Duet is a Kira episode, Prototype is a BβElanna episode, etc. Thatβs not really the case anymore.
Michael Burnham is both the character we see the most and the character that matters most in the average episode (to say nothing of the overall plot). What I would like to understand is what production factors brought about this change and then sustained the new status quo through the various shakeups in showrunners and writing staff.
I don't personally hold to this view, but I'd still like to hear what others have to say about it nonetheless.
Just got off the phone with Discount Tire, they're saying that the 18" Primacy MXM4's with the acoustic foam has been discontinued. Has Tesla updated their OEM tire recommendation?
Hello,
Thanks!
Are these all new terms for Direchasm? If so, do they persist in Harrow Deep? I only have Shadespire and Nightvault so far, and I've been using the Nightvault rulebook to learn to play.
Thanks in advance.
Hey,
The tires only have 2k miles on them on the SR+ RWD a few months ago. Do I need winter tires if I plan to drive up to go road tripping from NJ/NYC to Ithaca and other Upstate places? Or if I drive to ski mountains upstate or Pennsylvania?
I asked the tire guy at BJs tire shop and they said I should be fine since my Michelin all seasons are very new. I'm not really experienced so getting yalls advice. Thanks!
i wonder if anyone else has experienced a life of being rejected by narc parents for being the second born? i see the narc parents pouring all their love and attention to the first born making sure they succeed. but for the second child, they could care less.... as long as their neglect, abuse doesn't attract attention from others. instead the second born is exposed to life of gaslighting, abuse and no love (rejection).
i found out that in Confucius asian societies, this is a feature rather than a flaw. in fact there is a famous folk tale about this mistreatment but in modern day it's rarely acknowledged in social norms. that means half the population of children from 2 children families are unacknowledged while the other half (golden child population) narrative is promoted full bore.
Model 3 LR - Wondering about this - I only have 6,000 miles on the stock OEM tires but they are baaaaad on a cold slippery icy/snowy road.
Thinking about a preemptive upgrade for the likely cold Snowy winter.
Have a set of Tesla recommendation chains on order - but view chains as last resort.
Iβm not coming down on either side of the fence on this one, but Iβm interested in the opinions of this sub.
From my perspective the Labour Party is Sclerotic, paralysed by factionalism, and ultimately has no idea what it stands for.
Iβm uncertain if the way forward is an extremely difficult and chaotic process of reform, which from an electoral standpoint would be very ugly and damaging. Perhaps a fresher party would do better?
If we look an En Marche in France, part of the reason they won was BECAUSE they were new, and had no baggage.
If people are free to choose conceptions of the good life, they will choose amongst the options. People - being as they are - will choose from the many competing conceptions of the good life. It follows from this, however, that l there will exist a multiplicity of conceptions of the good life in society. People will, in other words, excercise their freedom to choose amongst conceptions of the good life when given the freedom to do so.
There is only one correct conception of the good life, however, and thus if one conception is right it follows that all other conceptions are wrong. If utilitarianism, for example, is right, it follow that Kantianism is wrong.
Yet from from these premises, it follows that there should not be a freedom to choose amongst conceptions of the good life insofar as we value the good. In other words, if one values the good, this freedom to choose amongst conceptions is indeed the problem.
The next natural question then becomes βwhich conception of the good life?β The trivial answer is βthe right oneβ. More seriously and to the point, as Christians we believe that Christianity offers the truth, and for this reason we accept that the state must uphold the Christian conception of the good life. βNevertheless, the end of civil society consists chiefly in goods of the soulβ, Grenier notes, βi.e., in a life of virtue, as we have said. [. . .] Hence civil society has an obligation to encourage and support the work of the Church, and thus exercise indirect care over religion. In the concrete, civil society is in duty bound to show due reverence to the holy name of God, to rid its territories of the teachings of atheism, and, having embraced the true religion, to protect it by the benevolence and authority of its laws, and to institute or decree nothing which would be a danger to its safety and security (Grenier, βThe Dignity of Politics and the End of the Polityβ). The emphasis here is important. It is vitally important to recognize that the common good of the civil society (or body politic) is the aim of the state, while the divine good of persons is the aim of the church. For the very reasons we have noted, it is erroneous to deny any cooperation between church and state whatsoever, but it is erroneous - similarly, to imply that the state should co-opt the role of the church by promoting virtue through coercion. Maritain explains,
> [. . .] [T]he superior dignity and authority of the Church asserts itself, not by virtue of a coercio

without love watering the growth of a child, they wither inside. such is my case but they never mention this.
this is how the narc ruling elite are birthed while the working class folks get shafted and gaslit.
for poor asian families, children are their retirement plan. so for my nparents, they saw the first born as their ticket to retirement. so to ensure the golden child succeeded they pushed me out of the way from early on and put all their eggs in one basket. now they have succeeded at my expense, they tell a revisionist history to others to explain the mysterious wayward child. first born who is chummy with the sperm donor is the most vehement defender of the sperm donor and gaslights me because the first born benefitted and gained all the love. the nparents not really meaning it say it's "poor parenting" knowing they will get a pass from friends b/c they produced a successful golden child. they create flying monkeys which is why i don't associate with their affluent circles. they rub it in.
anytime i see someone who is mysteriously messed up supposedly from a "good house" it's telltale sign there are things that are not being spoken or said often narc abuse is my guess. because narc abuse is death by a thousand paper cuts over history of relationship, it's not just one thing and so when
... keep reading on reddit β‘"All these passages resemble the one from the Lotus Sutra that speaks of the past, present, and future. But such passages are declaring that a certain sutra is a βkingβ in comparison to the sutras of BrahmΔ, Shakra, or the four heavenly kings, or that it is a βkingβ in comparison to the Hinayana sutras, or that among sutras such as the Flower Garland or the ShrΔ«mΔlΔ it is the most outstanding. They are in no way saying p.483that that particular sutra is the king of kings among all the Mahayana and Hinayana, provisional and true, exoteric and esoteric sutras preached by the Buddha during his entire fifty or more years of teaching.Β It is important that we should clearly understand what is being compared when we try to decide which sutras are superior and which inferior. Only when one has succeeded in overcoming a powerful enemy can we say that one has displayed real strength.
Moreover, the relative superiority of those sutras [that claim each is βkingβ] is determined by a single Buddha, Shakyamuni, and is not supported by the words of testimony given by Many Treasures Buddha or the emanations of Shakyamuni Buddha. One must not confuse a personal opinion of one Buddha with the public announcements in the Lotus Sutra verified by all the Buddhas." - Choosing the Heart of the Lotus Sutra
This is but one argument set forth by Nichiren. Nichiren gives even more elegant reasons in his five major works, particularly, the Opening of the Eyes, The True Object of Devotion, and On Repaying Debts of Gratitutude. In the Opening of the Eyes, he cites the fact that the other sutras reject certain people from attaining Buddhahood, those who carried out five cardinal sins, women, or the Men of Learning (Sravakas) and Self Realization (Pratyekabuddhas) and they assert that the Buddha attained Enlightenment for the first time under the Bodhi Tree. The Lotus Sutra teaches that through its faith and practice, even those who carried out the five cardinal sins, women, Men of Learning and Self Realization will all attain Buddhahood. Most importantly, only the Lotus Sutra reveals that Shakyamuni Buddha attained Buddhahood in the eternal past and has been preaching and saving the masses of beings since time immemorial.
Nichiren teaches in the Opening of the Eyes for example:

so i just found this out entirely by accident,
but cutting down cactuses (in desert / arid shubland / any biome in which cactus occur ) does NOT trigger the 'cut tree' debuff, even though you harvest wood from it.
i had thought that fibercorn was the only way to get wood construction materials besides trade, but you can harvest full grown cactus for wood without worry of debuffs !!
Hello Fathers, what is the primacy of consciousness and when does it apply, cause ive looked it up, and I have received such a variety of answers, on various issues, that it has left me confused.
So what is it, and when does it apply, and when does it not apply.
