Premodern Europe is full of interesting examples of representative democracies of various sorts coexisting with monarchies and other elements of feudalism.
"Free Cities," with city councils and elected mayors under the vassalage of barons and kings was fairly common. After a time, we see national legislatures arise, although they were still largely subservient to a powerful king.
Then there seems to be a final stage where legislatures manage to heavily restrict the power of the king, or they do away with kingship entirely.
But how did this process begin and proceed? How did democracies begin to infiltrate the feudal world of Europe? Did they sort of sneak in under the radar because kings didn't realize how subversive democracy could be? Was it just a more efficient form of government, so local level politics just default to democracy?

worthy of serious scholarly examination. But I’ll admit that, initially, I didn’t really “get” what he was trying to say in reference to a certain community that he seems to be at odds with.
Until today.
Because now, every major mainstream media outlet is now trying to literally rewrite what what the definition of a man or a woman is, and it appears that a significant portion of society is ready to go right along with it.
He’s not just a comedian, a philosopher, or a thinker.
Now it appears that he is a prophet as well.

I am very excited to present to this community something of mine that has been years in the making: A full reading order for X-Men, 1963-present! This is not a reading order for the comic Ultimate X-Men, but rather it is meant to be the ULTIMATE reading order available on the internet for getting the full story on the X-Men. It took me over four years to read every single comic book featuring at least three X-Men and put them together in what I believe to be the most accurate way yet presented. I am fully aware of the fact that other orders like this exist, and I used several of them to help me (extensive credits are provided on the last page of this site). But I have done my best to make mine the best!
The reading order is very comprehensive but is still broken down into different "eras," so you can choose to read the whole thing through like I have or just pick an era to focus on. Either way, you will be able to feel like you are getting a very complete story.
I hope that this site helps other fans makes sense out of a continuity that has become very long and bloated over the years, but which has gained a permenant place in my heart as perhaps the greatest long-running team comic and social alleogry comic of all-time!
