A list of puns related to "Portent"

I'm at my first campaign and I have an hard time remembering to roll (and use) portent at the beginning of the day. Any suggestions for it?
We're playing on roll20 if you have specific advice on it.
(If you have more advice on how to play an high-elf chaotic neutral wizardess divinatrix, it's welcome)
You can always say “I knew you would do that” when you use portent for your own saving throws. But what about when you use it on an ally or a foe?
With cheeks clenched he stood watch.
This would be humanity's brownest hour.
No nose would be spared.
Lube up troopers, for the stars have alligned. It is the dawn of the eldritch excretions.
Onwards, to the first log
Anyone know anything about the effects of taking lsd and eating a potent edible? Does the weed enhance or damped the effects of the LSD? Also I don’t know if it’s important to note that it’s been 10 days since my last tab. Thanks for any info guys
Hi! I am aware that version 2.3 is out now and the focus is back on Dragonspine, but for this post, I would hope to momentarily grab your attention back to the Thunder Sakura Trees of Tatarasuna, Inazuma.
This post is once again more of an observation and speculation than anything rigorous. This observation does not utilize version 2.3 spoilers, nor does it use leaked information, but it points to a similarly exciting near-future version of the game and lore.
It is very short, but I quote the Grand Narukami Shrine Maiden Miyuki in the quest "Sakura Arborism":
>Miyuki: This is Kannazuka, where neither the Inazuman faith nor Sanganomiya's has any influence.
>
>Miyuki: Ever since the Vision Hunt Decree was promulgated, conflict often breaks out here between the Shogun's Army and the rebels. I don't think either side cares whether the Thunder Sakura become collateral damage in their war.
>
>Miyuki: To quote Lady Miko, "Honors and accolades are all these military types care about." They will not listen to reason.Miyuki: We were well prepared for this, but we hadn't expected the Thunder Sakura to be in quite as terrible a condition as they now are...
>
>Miyuki: Anyway, here and now, the most pressing matter is to put a stop to the Treasure Hoarder's juvenile antics. Traveler, can I entrust this to you?
>
>Traveller: You got it!
>
>Miyuki: Please don't get careless. The Thunder Sakura being weakened makes the situation very dangerous indeed. After all, these trees serve to suppress the one who lies beneath...
>
>Traveller: Sounds straightforward enough.
>
>Miyuki: I fear it may not be as straightforward as you presume. The Thunder Sakura being weakened makes the situation very dangerous indeed. After all, these trees serve to suppress the one who lies beneath...
>
>Miyuki: Ah, I've said too much... P—Please forget you heard me say that. In short, please exercise extreme caution.
[ The five Thunder Sakura trees are not difficult to find. You just have to follow the western shoreline from the northernmost point of the Kujou Encampment islet to northernmost point of Tatarasuna — you'll encounter three of them that way. As for the other two, one is on the mountain northwest of Tatarasuna, the other is on another mountain to

It's the big one and it is still pretty great after all these re-watches. What can one actually say about this that hasn't been said? Well, not enough people highlight that the raiders suck and have always sucked in B5, such a waste of space! But in all seriousness this is where the series lays some important cards on the table for us the viewer, in which we know that the status quo is going to majorly shake up and that there are bigger foes out there. Having gone through the series multiple times there are numerous things that give us the tingles when revisiting this episode from Morden's first lines to Babylon 5 exploding, the episode is jam packed with an amazing amount of clues, hints, and foreshadowing to the point in which this entire post could be just listing them off. But the two things that ring the loudest are, first the appearance of The Shadow's ship which even with the old CGI still sends a chill down the spine and from our experiences manages to capture the awe of new viewers after all these years. The second being what Londo wants and how that venomous speech sets into motion his damnation for the rest of the series. You see that speech and pull at your collar because we know how the story spirals out from here with his new found relationship but also it just is a harsh reminder of the dark inner workings of an otherwise likable character.
We all know this but it still needs to be said, Morden is fantastic and it is great to see him again and we can't wait to see all the shitty things he does in the series. Ed Wasser just swaggers in with complete ownership of the role and it makes him stand out from other guest stars, including ones in this episode! The acting from him along with our main cast is on point here and it's great to see all the Ambassadors doing their thing opposite of Morden including a very displeased Kosh. The episode is often remembered for the big moments and the things that ripple further down the road but we really appreciate that it still manages to keep up some levity with Ivanova's opener or G'Kar and Londo bickering at the turbo lift. It's those moments and asides that still keeps a very complex episode grounded and fun to watch. Although the CGI doesn't hold up it is still neat that B5 wasn't afraid to give us the goods and show us the station fighting back and the space battles which are often omitted in other shows of this era.
"Signs and Portents" delivers a lot of important information and

I remember first learning about fire. My father was a legate, fighting side by side with Caesar in the ceaseless Gallic Wars, back when that man was still considered a hero of the Republic. I was seven, at the time. Seven when the wars broke out, at least; I was practically a man come the threatened crossing of the Rubicon. My mother bought villas all across Gaul with my father's bountiful wages, wanting nothing more than to see her husband in the Winters, no matter where he was stationed, in those brief periods of reprieve from battle. Of course, she brought my siblings and I along as well.
I would stay awake until the falling snow made my nose bright red and my hands numb from wrist to fingertips, sitting outside atop a hastily-carved log of oak, leaning my head upon my father's shoulder as he told story after story of his close-calls and triumphs and bitter defeats at the hands of the savage Gauls. The cunning tactics employed against the Suebi who dared cross the Rhine's bountiful banks, the unfathomable insolence of the rebelling Belgae, even the intrepid voyage to that, at the time, fabled isle of Britannia. Hearing these stories never failed to make my wide, little eyes glow with ambition, and when I told my father that I wanted to be a legate just like him when I was older, I couldn't help but notice a similar little shimmer in his own.
He led me into the woods, starting with the basics. Simple survival principles. What berries you could eat, and which would leave you writhing on the forest floor. How to find water. How to build shelters. Granted, I would've preferred combat training, but war is a fickle beast and supply lines are far from reliable. Among these lessons, he showed me how to build a fire. How it's vibrant glow could keep you warm through frigid nights, could light the way in dense forests, could scare off any predators or soldiers that might threaten your life, when a sword might not be at hand.
I couldn't help but find myself entranced by the dancing embers. How they spun and leapt and ducked and roared with a red-hot passion, their mesmerising glow inviting any who looked upon their orange coils to step in and reach out a hand and touch and feel the flame's form. But, of course, it would be more apt to compare fire's charming waltz to the hypnotising sway of the python. Once one becomes entranced, once one steps just a little too close, the flames bite. That scorching heat, a magnificent tool with which we can accomplish so many

The problem with them currently is they are heavily underutilized as they need to be brought inside a fight, using 2 valuable inventory spots.
My suggestion is to just click on 2 portents, and it gives you the effect for your next death, allowing you to protect 5 items, or 4 if you only consume 1.
They could even only last 1 hour, working for 1 life, similar to how incense sticks work
We expect Islamists like Saudi funded institutes to be against Hindutva, we expect communists like Kavita Krishnan & Maoists "activists" like Nandini Sundar to be against Hindus, we expect evangelicals to be against Hinduism & Hindus.
Christophe Jaffrelot is none of the above. His bio from wikipedia.
>Jaffrelot works at the Centre for Studies in International Relations (CERI)-Sciences Po and has served as its Director from 2000 to 2008.[3] He is currently a senior research fellow at CNRS and a professor at Sciences Po. Jaffrelot is the president of the Political Science section of the French National Committee for Scientific Research (CoNRS) since 2012.
Pretty influential man, pretty big roles. But his most interesting role for me is his being fellow at Carnegie Endowment. Same Carnegie Endowment which has been listed by the most authorattive book on Cold War as one of the big CIA fronts (evidenced by constant exchange of positions by officials between the 2 organisations)
Globally acclaimed book on ColdWar "Cultural Cold War" elucidates how from the era of 1930s, how US came to be a nation whose policies, particularly foreign policies, were determined by the plutocrats, for the plutocrats. And the means of determination would come to be the plutocratic & corporate funds featuring swivelling doors with CIA with CIA donating its officials for these megafunds and the megafunds donating money and a respectable, non-hostile channel for achieving CIA's foreign policy objectives.
>**In the early 20th century, the United States legalized endowed foundations. They were the new lifeguards of Imperialism, or call it Capitalism, under threat from Communism. Among the first to be set up was Carnegie Corporation,
