A list of puns related to "Poro"
I played LoR more than one year already and this deck is the most boring to play against.
Honestly, it feels like my opponent is in a casino playing the roulette. Either he draws the cards he needs and obliterates me or he surrenders before turn 4. Very luck based.
It's frustrating to craft my own deck, dedicating time to test it with other players on Normal, and then having these useless matches. It's a plainly a waste of time.
This deck is a serious issue to the meta, I hope Riot takes notice and fix this kind of decks. Because I love Legends of Runeterra coming from MTG Arena. Because there it also felt similar when I left.
In LoR I have had very long and tight matches, those that you think you win next turn but your opponent counters, then he thinks he win but boom! You counter, and emote, and he emotes back. That back and forth interaction with the other player is pure gold and there are matches I'll never forget, that left me wanting to handshake my opponent regardless if I lost or won.
I want a game that gives me memorable matches, not a slot machine where they either obliterate you or surrender very soon.
Sorry for the rant, but I needed to tell someone, specially I want Riot to see yet another post against this deck.
I think I went 20-1, riot can nerf this now
Iβm new to the world of Runeterra and the game.
I'll try to keep this short, but as the title says, we've been through this elusive swarm bullshit before, and I would've hoped that the devs learned the lessons that taught. But nope, like clockwork we have a problematic elusives based deck about twice a year.
You would have to have played the game since release basically, but this poro deck is just virtually Heimerdinger elusives that was fixed in one of the first release patches.
https://dotesports.com/lor/news/legends-of-runeterra-patch-1-6-full-notes-and-updates
The deck worked because heimer use to have elusives turret on 3 cost mana, so people would just spam flash of brilliance, vault breaker and the other 3 cost spells to load the board up with units you couldn't reasonably kill, it was helped by the fact that you also still had Heimerdinger creating other units, but swarmed elusives was the crux of the issue. Long story short they moved Heimer elusive turret to 6 cost purely because of elusive swarming.
It's just incredibly frustrating to see an almost identical issue that was so easily foreseeable by everyone who's played for the past 2 years, hence why the new patch dropped Wednesday, and we immediately had problems Thursday.
Howdy friends I'm Davebo and I'm here to present a spicy new list featuring the new iceborn legacy and poro herder buffs. I think this deck is at least tier 2, probably tier 1. We'll see how things shake out though. It's an all in daring poro list, trying as hard as it can to make them all as strong as it can. I played against Nicmakesplays and shared my list with him and he went on a 10-1 (still ongoing) tear with the list which he posted about on Twitter: https://twitter.com/NicMakesPlays/status/1478872600520663040

Play lots of daring poros, play iceborn legacy on daring poros, win the game :). This is NOT a general poro list, the only poro we are running is daring to make sure that poro herder always draws us more daring poros. It does not run porealis (Why would I want to run a 12 mana iceborn legacy!?)
Outside of that combo, we run pretty much all the draw/searching we can to help hit the combo as reliably as possible. It's very easy to be swinging in with 4 5/5s on turn 5/6 with this deck, so we want to get there as reliably as possible.
This plays kind of like azir irelia in that it's kind of aggro-combo. Generally a combo deck but high rolls will have you killing the opponent on turn 5.
The list is still being refined, so I expect as the deck gets more polished its winrate will continue to rise.
The core combo: 3x poro cannon, 3x daring poro, 3x poro snax, 3x iceborn legacy, 3x iterative improvement
These are the combo pieces and are never going away. iterative is a worse daring poro, but a 3 mana 6/6 elusive is still pretty good :)
The cards that find the core combo: 3x zaunite urchin, 3x stress testing, 3x avarosan sentry, 3X poro herder, 3x time trick, 3x station archivist, 2x augmented experimenter
We run a lot of really cheap stuff so we want to draw as much as possible. Stress testing can be discarded by both poro cannon and zaunite urchin, making it a

This post is no slight against NicMakesPlays, his Twitch or YouTube or anything. In fact, I want to congratulate Nic (and others who worked on the deck, but I copied Nic's list so he gets the most credit) for building a really good and unique deck. So let's just start there, and any criticism in this post is not directed at Nic directly and I apologize in advance if any is taken that way.
Now, the fact of the matter is that this deck exemplifies everything wrong with LoR right now, and the devs seriously need to reverse course if they want the game to continue gaining popularity (imo, at least, maybe they see it otherwise).
Firstly, the deck is very much an A/B deck. A thread was posted a couple days ago about how playing Pantheon feels like playing Magic, where sometimes your deck does nothing because you get "mana flooded". This deck is similar; it's an A/B deck where if you don't draw A and B in the right proportions, you simply don't get to play the game, and if you do draw A and B in the right proportions your opponent doesn't get to play the game, and there's very little in-between room. In this case, of course, A is Poros (in Nic's version specifically Daring Poro and cards that generate Daring Poro) and B is Poro global pump effects. If all you draw are Poros and no pumps, your cards are garbage, and if you only draw Poro pumps and no Poros, your cards are also garbage. This makes the game very swingy and RNG heavy and nobody like that, in fact it's why Hearthstone (best I could tell from other discussions I've had recently) seems to be dying lately because there's way too much RNG. In fact, recently there's been a lot more A/B decks than usual, e.g. the aforementioned Pantheon, Lee decks (spells which are effective and units which are effective to use them with), GP/Sej (face damage + champions), Sion/Rumble-based discard decks (discard cards and discard synergy cards), Lulu aggro (Lulu + Flame Chompers), Kennen/Ahri (recall synergy cards + recall effects), and so on. It didn't used to be like this; when I started LoR back when Go Hard was the premier control deck, it felt like every game was a midrange value mirror and Go Hard was simply the best midrange deck, so it hasn't always been this way.
Secondly, it's a very uninteractive deck, where all the threats have Elusive. As BBG said on

Please help me find the real world size of poros
Thatβs it, thatβs the post.
Hi,
I'm a Poros one-trick who've climbed to masters last couple of seasons playing Poros exclusively. With Poppy nerfed, Poros feel stronger this season than in the past. Went 18-4 in my games today in my final climb from diamond to masters (my profile https://dak.gg/lor/profile/iakgnoh-NA1). Deck has really flexible game plans which imo makes the deck fun to play as you have agency to decide how the game goes. The deck is really good late game - all of your poros are at least 1 mana 3|3s (usually bigger) and you have a near endless supply of them. There's not many decks that can out-power you late game (glorious shellfolk is probably the only one). I'm often able to see my opponent level up their champions and play their wincons, only for them to realize their wincon loses to your deck. Am surprised that poros aren't more prevalent on the ladder. Imo it's a pretty solid Tier 2 deck. Creating a guide to give poros some love.
My current decklist is here:

Deck is fairly similar to the one Swim made (https://lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/c3ccjpu3kvdqlngu7flg). However, I'm running 2 copies of Buried in Ice as the primary wincon. Buried in Ice hard counters any late game bomb such as Dreadway, Feel the Rush, big celestial units, Nautilus, Sion, etc. since if they ever play them, they lose their whole board and you win on the open attack. You almost always have a 6-wide board late-game with poros so Buried in Ice is like the perfect wincon.
Am also running 3 copies of Time Trick to help find Snax/Porealis. Yes, the deck is very starved for mana. However, you still have to find Snax/Porealis in order to win. Time Trick also synergizes especially well with Station Archivist as Archivist allows you to see your upcoming topdecks and if you don't like them, you can play Time Trick to shuffle your deck. Time Trick also makes it so that you never run out of cards to play as you can often Time Trick into Porealis/Archivist/Buried in Ice if you have extra mana.
Am also running 1 copy of Forge Worker and 1 copy of Forge of Tomorrow to help out early. These cards effectively don't cost mana (in fact, forge worker can usually strike twice giving

But seriously it just made me slightly curious. Are there stats for this by any chance ?
Hot take but I'm interested to hear from people who disagree. My main point is that I think the subreddit's focus on how this is just another example of elusive abuse is misplaced, and the deck would probably still be simple to play and win with regardless of keyword, or simply, There isn't a keyword change that makes Iceborne easy to balance around in its current iteration.
First to clarify, I'm not saying elusives are a non-factor. But what I believe is that the deck's power also lies elsewhere and targeting elusive would simply stop the deck from mercifully ending the game by 6, turning it into a slog of a value outgrind you can't keep pace with, more in the vein of poppy swarm decks. I think it would be more prudent to target iceborn over Poros if there's a nerf, as the card is the one piece that suddenly pushed a balanced archetype over the edge.
So, to kick off, the deck has a number of strengths that are not Elusive-related:
Poros were obv not a meta staple prior to this. They weren't bad, high-level players have piloted them extremely successfully, but it was a high skillcap deck with lots of room for misplays, and thus not common. So what changed? Mainly, the substitution of Aurora Porealis for Iceborne.
To do the same thing this deck used to be able to do, Porealis cost 12 mana; Iceborne costs 5. This is an absurd buff in tempo, I can't think of another example of a combo suddenly becoming 7 whole mana cheaper. It made the question of when to use your unit buff cards trivial. Just play your buffs as soon as possible because you will simply out-tempo them. Iceborn turned one of the hardest decks to play into one in which almost every move is choreographed.
When you run two separate cards that can do the same thing, your ability to consistently pull off the same kind of gameplan improves dramatically. This deck has 12 cards that create daring poros, tutor daring poros, or are daring poros, not including the rest of the card draw in the deck. This takes away a lot of the difficulty of the mulligan; You can dig much deeper for the combo pieces you need when you know you have a >90% chance of drawing one of the poros by turn 3 anyways. Then, the other combo pieces (unit buffs) are backed up by redundancies as well. Archivist lets you turn one iceborn into 2, pushing your poros to 5/5 without even needing to draw 2 iceborns, or grab a poro cannon for turn 4. What this means is that your

My top wanted is God Staff Jax :)
Then buy a poro chest and worst case scenario get a random pose for a champion you don't play +200 poro energy for the skin.
In the blink of an eye, poros are dominating the meta. People are not happy. Everyone is talking about how elusive decks are degenerate and non-interactive. But they definitely aren't unbeatable. In fact, going off the gold+ mobalytics data, it actually looks like they match up terribly into most of the top decks from before the patch. Heres what beats elusive poros so far:
MF GP Pirates.
Elise Noxus.
Mono Panth.
Lurk.
Ken Ahri.
And heres some decks with positive winrates that may find a place in the meta thanks to the present overprevalence of poros:
Mono Fiora.
Nightfall.
Hope this helps some people frustrated by the recent changes!
Iβve seen people that got K/DA Akali, Ahri and Kaiβsa from poro skin chest (chances are pretty low, but still) Is it possible to get K/DA Evelynn this way too?
I might sound silly, but i look at Orn as Poro, like GIGAPORO, not ram, despite his ultimate in LoL and his hoofs. And to me it seems legit bc i did not see any ram like creature in freiljord.Elnuks can be close enough, but he doesnt look like elnuk to be honest. He's fluffy, has horns and round-shaped like most poro, despite being huge and intellegent, but he's a god,so why not?And i think, what would be like if he was Runeterra Champion?I've came with idea of 3 mana 1/4(Tough) with lvl up condition "You played 2 poro snacks" and his lvl up version got "When i'm level up or played, manifest random poro.Other poro's everywhere gain his keyword".What do you guys think about it?
what are the skin u got from poro chest and poro skin chest mine are as follows: k/da akali (rare) pulsefire twisted fate(rare) red riding annie high noon jhin(rare) void fizz(rare) program camile(rare) world breaker nasus
