A list of puns related to "Phalloplasty"
Ask me anything at all! No judgement, no question is stupid or too personal. Iβm not here to tell you what you should or shouldnβt want for your body, I just want to help clear up misinformation and make sure you have the info you need to make the decision thatβs best for you.
I had RFF (forearm donor site) phalloplasty with UL (urethral lengthening), vaginectomy, and scrotoplasty in November 2020. I had a complete hysterectomy/oopherectomy in 2019. In December 2021 I had testicular implants and glansplasty. I may or may not decide to have an ED implant (erectile device) in the future, but for now Iβm done. I can answer very basic questions about other types of phallo and meta, and help you find resources for more info.

Hello this is very odd question so by working at my job it is impossible to save up some money my paycheck is around 700β¬ a month and the operation costs 30000β¬ in another country (in mine they don't do the operation or if they do it is one doctor that has not very realistic results) so i was thinking to get a loan for that bc i can't think of any possible solution. Any suggestions?
Whenever a cis man loses his penis because of an accident or cancer people always comfort him and assure him that he's still a man and has a chance at a romance and sex life. That a couple inches between your legs is not what makes a man. And if he decides to have phallo everyone agrees that it's just as real as any other penis, and that it's nothing to be insecure about. But when a trans man has phallo all of a sudden it's a frankendick, an abomination, a disgusting part of him that no one will love. I have straight up had other trans men tell me to just accept my genitals and that pursuing bottom surgery is useless. If a cis man can be accepted as a man without a dick then so can I.
(unrelated but RFF scars look super cool, I can say I got mauled by a dog or survived a shark attack lol)
Hello fellas! I have some very good news. I've been studying 4d printing and biotechnology for school for a couple of months now, and I found some interesting techniques in the bio-printing field that could be used to benefit phalloplasty. Scientists have found new methods for making skin grafts that are bio-made in a lab. This could mean in a decade or so, we could have skin grafts made from a lab, instead of them taken from legs or arms. This also means that there is potential to make moveable skin on the top layer of the phallo in order to make foreskin (uncut-phalloplasty.)
Though Scientists are still a handful of years away from making bio-printed skin a common occurrence in hospitals, there has been enough progress where we can see the possibilities It can accomplish regarding phalloplasty. Right now, Scientists can make the first 2 layers of skin (Epidermis layer, and Dermis layer) this is all we need in order to make moveable skin in our penises.
So, what can we do with 4d printing regarding phallo?
The cis male penis top layer of skin consists of a type of skin called dartos fascia. This type of skin can also be found on the hood of your T-dick. This material is not the same as the epidermis of the skin on your arm or leg, which can be why phalloplasty can feel slightly smooth like your arm or thigh. The Dartos Facia can be difficult, and even impossible to get from a skin graft, but this is where 4d printing comes in. 4d Printing has the ability to create pretty much all organs in the human body, this includes hearts, liver, lungs ect. (though not fully functional) So it is not that hard to create something similar, if not the same as the Dartos Facia.
How can the new Skin attach? will the body reject the new skin?
There is a method that scientists have been doing for years in order to make sure that new lab-made body parts do not get rejected by the patient's body. This is by taking a sample of your cells (skin cells in this case) and putting it in this machine, which then, basically clones your cells along with what is being printed. that is pretty much what it does in a nutshell. Then when the skin for a body part is healed onto a patient, the body recognizes its own cells and no longer rejects them. I have linked an example sheet of my theory of how it can be performed in the post at the bottom.
Can I feel my foreskin?
This question can not be fully answered yet. Split-thickness skin grafts that have been lab-made have not bee

I can't wait to get phalloplasty tbh. It's such a cool surgery. Like... They be doing the genitals I want??? Awesome???
Hey, I actually posted something in /asktransgender a while ago, regarding my situation.
Long story short I desperately need SRS to change my legal gender, if not I can't find a job due to my country's discriminatory attitudes towards trans people and my mostly useless art degree.
I can't find a single insurer who covers bottoms surgery in my country, and companies are viciously transphpbic.
The only doctor I can find who does bottom surgery cheaply charges $44k USD which makes me cry, because I don't think I could ever afford that amount with how impossible it is to get a job for me.
I'm almost certain I'll commit suicide after graduating because of how impossible it is to afford surgery and become a functional member of society.
I've considered seeking asylum in Canada, but since my country doesn't 'technically' discriminate against me directly (jailing or killing us) I don't think I qualify.
I don't live in the US so I can't just up and move overnight too.
I need some help, because I really don't know what to do and I'm just spiralling. I freelance art, but I just can't make enough to live, after our government fucks decided to increase GST taxes again.
I'm passing on a call for participants from a group of researchers at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center who study decision making in medical care. This research is a multi-step effort to develop a decision making aid, and continues to involve the input of trans and nonbinary community members. They are now recruiting for a survey about decision making and surgery specific to phalloplasty and/or metoidioplasty.
It is only for those who live in the United States.
The survey should take less than 30 minutes.

I'm tired of reading misinformation and bad comments about lower surgery. So:
In 2019 I had phalloplasty + urethral lengthening, scrotoplasty and vaginectomy, all in one surgery, with Dr. Chen and Drs. Watt and Lin of the Buncke Clinic. You can see some pics in my profile. I had glansplasty 3 mos after initial surgery. I had a fistula (a hole) that required a separate repair in early 2020 and had my ED, the 3-piece pump, placed in late 2020.
All I ask is that you call my dick a dick. No using "results" or "realistic" in your comments, as my dick is quite real, thank you!
Iβm FtM and I very much want to have the phalloplasty done eventually because I have a lot of dysphoria around my genitals. But none of the information Iβve found online is consistent so Iβm hoping to get some of yβall to tell me how it went for them.
What does the constructed penis look like? Is it similar to a cis personβs penis? Can it get aroused / hard like a cis personβs penis? Is it hard to take care of in terms of cleaning? Does it come circumcised or no?
Also any experiences youβve had will be helpful! I want to be fully prepared for reality when I get to that point.
Thanks in advance!
-Malcolm
I've decided that I want to lengthen my legs in the near future and would like to know if it is possible to get ALT phalloplasty afterwards. I hope to lengthen the femur by about 3 in (8 cm) using internal fixators, but am concerned as the donor site for phalloplasty is in the thigh also. I know one works with the bones and the other with skin, muscles, and blood vessels, etc. but these soft tissues would slowly stretch out as well... maybe making them thinner and weaker. Would LL impact the formation of the phallus in any way?
I am officially a week post op total hysto and vaginectomy in preparation for FTM bottom surgery,& Iβm scheduled for urethral lengthening, perineum masculinization, and scrotoplasty in May 2022, penis creation with further repositioning and refining in the coming months after that. Feel free to ask any questions!! Iβm sure other folks here may relate to not necessarily connecting with their pre op genitals, so this wonβt sound weird lol, but I have never connected with my vagina / vulva and avoid looking at it at all costs. Now that I no longer have a vaginal canal & have a dick & balls on the way, i decided to take a peek down to kind of just take in whatβs there. To be honest, it was kind of euphoric? I didnβt feel bad for once. I could visualize where my future scrotum will be, since itβs made from the labia majora, and could kind of feel that phantom dick moment while looking down at my pubic mound, it just got me really excited for whatβs coming. I could see the beginnings of my new perineum too, itβs so different being closed up down there lol. But anyone else relate? Having a surgery date to hold on to has made this feel a lot more real, but itβs definitely a weird and new feeling to look down and feel proud of the new genitals what I currently have had a hand in making.
Has anyone had phalloplasty with Hannes sigurjΓ³nsson and is willing to share pictures or just info about your experience and result with him?
Thanks :)
Hey i really want to Cover all of my scars with Tattoos ,especially the one on my arm from Phalloplasty. Did anyone get their scar covered ? I have some questions :)
Now that my name change is through, I'll have to get my documents changed and then I can start applying for surgeries. The easiest way in germany seems to be to get all approvals at once.
I'm still having doubts about phalloplasty tho. First I'm scared of not regaining sensation and that my dysphoria about not having a prostate will get worse.
The bigger problem is, that I live alone without having friends or family to help me and I'm in university.
Has anyone gone through phalloplasty alone? How long have u stayed at the hospital after each stage and were u able to take care of urself without it causing complications? Would I have to skip a semester of university? I could do most online but once or twice a week I might have to go to lab for the day
More so curious than anything else at the moment since I might want it in the far future and saw a post about it recently.
It seems they do the full surgery with rff and nerve hookup in Stockholm, which is where I live, but I want to know more about it.
I find that there is soooo much misinformation regarding phalloplasty even within FTM/trans men/transmasc spaces! And itβs even hard to research since the terminology is brand new, the internet is littered with horror stories, and so many people parrot the misinformation theyβve heard.
I think it does a huge disservice to people who could potentially want bottom surgery! Or even just want a dick!
Often, what I hear from people while discussing phallo are perpetuated over-generalizations that are based in half-truths.
Example: phalloplasty does not offer penile sensation and you canβt orgasm via penile stimulation post-op.
The grains of truth are that, yes some people never develop penile sensation or ability to orgasm post-phallo. Some types of phallo include nerve hook ups while others donβt.
However! I would say the more common answer is that for RFF (what I got) the surgery includes a nerve hook up from one of the nerves in the donor site to the clitoral/penile nerve. As the nerve grows more sensation is gained throughout the phallus and far more often than not, people gain erotic sensation. Additionally, the natal genitalia is not excised so it can far more often than not still be stimulated to orgasm post op. My natal genitals are buried but accessible via the skin between my dick n balls. Lastly, the shaft is super solidly attached to your body and it pulls the pelvis in a way that is often pleasurable!
From my understanding, ALT uses the iliolinguial nerve from the thigh while MLD uses a motor neuron from the back (This technique of MLD offers less sensation along the entire phallus but has many many other benefits!)
I donβt think everyone needs to get phalloplasty but I think that people should be offered an actually factual and fearmongering-free basis on which to make their decision!
Phalloplasty is NOT an inherently terrible surgery with poor outcomes! Phalloplasty is complex, varied, and results depend on individual bodies and surgical teams.
There are no phalloplasty surgeons in my state, so I have no idea how I would even begin to look for a surgeon to accept any type of insurance I might get.
Alright so, Iβm pre-t and 17 and cant really transition right now at the moment. So Iβm trying to plan out who i want to go to for FTM surgeries.
I have very bad bottom dysphoria and i even had dreams about me having a penis. And getting Phalloplasty is something Iβm really looking forward to once i start transitioning and Ive done so much research on Phalloplasty.
My main goals after getting Phalloplasty is to have great sensation, natural, cis-passing or aesthetic results, and sizing. I was gonna go to Dr. Mang Chen for ALT phalloplasty but i saw this guy who gotten Phalloplasty and his results looked so fkn fabulous. His penis was very cis-passing if you ask me. He has his own website called βPhallodiary.comβ where he posts his Phalloplasty journey, his results, and what he did and the process of him getting phallo. He even made a post here on Reddit once in 2018 i think.
But his results were great and he said he got RFF phalloplasty by Dr. Devin OβBrien Coon in Baltimore, Maryland. So i changed my mind as well and decided to go with RFF with Dr. Devin OβBrien Coon.
So does anybody have any experience with Dr. OβBrien Coon?? Any Phalloplasty tips?? What to know before getting Phalloplasty?? Dr. OβBrienβs contact info?? Procedures or requirements to get phalloplasty from him?
And last question, do you guys know any other Phalloplasty surgeons who have great results?? Like aesthetic looking results? Great sensation? Sizing?? Just in case ya know.
Thanks
The outside idea that me pursuing this surgery is considered βmutilatingβ myself has always stuck around in the back of my head somewhere.
I brush it off for the most part, mainly because they donβt understand and never will.
Then I had my surgeon who would have performed my hysterectomy try to talk me out of Phalloplasty saying that it leaves an ugly scar, etc etc. Of course I switched surgeons after the initial consult.
So Iβve kept this surgery between me and few people.
The other day though, my girlfriend was commenting on how she finds my arm hair super hot and that sheβs gonna miss it on my left arm.
Then it all started to build up
She notices I wear long sleeves to hide my one hairless, electrolysis induced bumps when weβre around her family and says I shouldnβt be going for something I need to hide and that itβll add stress.
Iβve accepted that Iβm okay with hiding my arm until Iβm post op stage 1 and can get a tattoo cover up.
I then showed my girlfriend a picture of a very well healed RFF scar and her face looked some what scared and she said that I have to make sure this is what I really want and was asking me if there are so we removal options.
I made the mistake of reading through dozens of really transphobic comments talking about Phalloplasty and I just couldnβt believe people saw it that way.
Everything feels so normalized to me like I have accepted this a long time ago and that Iβm okay with everything I have planned out.
Then I think, is this only because Iβm constantly in phallo groups?
Is the outside opinion more βrealβ or something thatβs supposed to make me open my eyes
Then I start to question if I could go through with this
If I should last minute switch to ALT so I donβt need to worry about the visible scarring, a huge con for me. The only single thing about this surgery that bothers me, but is worth it for sensation.
But RFF has felt right to me for 3 years and sensation is my top priority and Iβve always wanted a sleeve. The idea of a thick penis isnβt something Iβve really wanted either. Iβm okay with a pencil dick.
One hurdle I havenβt been able to get over though is the idea of getting the flap and artery taken from my arm.
The idea irks me so much, I almost had a panic attack when my surgeons office called me the other day because Iβm on the waitlist for sooner cancellations.
Not having hair on my arm hasnβt upset me once for the last 3 months of electrolysis, b
... keep reading on reddit β‘You know how some penetrative toys and prosthetics feel harder than others? How does a penis from phalloplasty feel compared to a cis man's penis?
i see this almost every day in trans masc forums. i'm not the first person to make this kind of post on this subreddit and yet this is still a problem! i don't even have or desire phallo but this irritates me to death.
phallo dicks can get hard, urinate, and orgasm. they are often very passable as natal penises. you guys gotta stop saying shit like "they can't do anything a real dick can" or complaining about how ugly you find them. people spend so much money, and suffer and risk so much to have this procedure done and it's obnoxious that there is still a stigma around phallo, when it takes five minutes to do your research, unlearn your misinformation, and know what you're even talking about.
just because you don't want phallo does not mean that phallo is objectively, universally bad.
What is distressing about it is that it is a major publication supposedly including the interests of Gay people.

Hey folks, Iβm an 18 year old trans guy looking to get RFF phalloplasty. I was scheduled with OβBrien Coon at JHU but heβs moving to Boston and Iβm not sure thatβs a viable option for me. Iβm considering following him, but at 6.5 hours away, Iβm also looking for options a little closer to home.
Info: I live in Maryland, Iβve been on T for 4 years. Iβve already begun electrolysis, and have my hysterectomy scheduled. Iβm looking for surgeons on the east coast, but ideally in NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, or NC.
Please donβt suggest Del Corral in Baltimore, I had my top surgery with him and wasnβt happy with those results.
So after youve had phalloplasty, can you ejaculate like a cis man would? I know the sperm wouldnt be there but perhaps some other fluid that resembles it? This might be a dumb question ive just been curious for a while and i can find much information.
Hey guys. Just got off a call with my GP and heβs decided that he will not be signing off on my papers to apply for phalloplasty for at least another year, perhaps indefinitely.
Iβve struggled with schizophrenia since I was a kid, and thought that I was getting things under control. However, I was found to still be mentally unfit for surgery.
Iβm feeling like absolute crap right now. Phalloplasty has been a dream of mine ever since I found out what it was, and it feels like Iβm being punished for being mentally ill.
I could seriously use some words of reassurance and support right now, but especially some good vibes.
Hi, Has anyone had phalloplasty with Dr. Santucci? Would love to chat to someone that has about their experience.
Thank you!
Iβm going to be having phalloplasty, and i work for Starbucks. Anyone know or have a good idea how much it is with Starbucks insurance?
My favorite thing about talking to people about phalloplasty is being able to say βthat thing that you want? Itβs absolutely (surgically) possible, here is the terminology for it, here are some resources to get you started, and if you need/want more help then let me know.β
I told a friend who didnβt know I got phallo about my surgery and he was floored that I was able to get the genital configuration I have. Itβs so much fun talking through phallo stuff with people, breaking down some of the myths, and especially for my local friends passing on different resources whether thatβs supplies or hair removal recs or insurance info.
I am 100% for all healthcare being free for everyone including trans healthcare and bottom surgery 100% for anyone who wants it. While weβre still fighting for that, I love being able to pass along resources and get people connected to achieve their goals!
Bottom surgery is cool and fun and sexy and everyone deserves to make the choice to have it while being 100% supported, informed, and cared for!
I have very small breasts so top surgery isn't a problem but I know I wanna get bottom surgery one day yet I'm very worried where to get it like most of you I want a very realistic looking penis and have lots of money for it so does anyone know the best of the best for bottom surgery I live in Missouri and it isn't very advanced here even more so which counties are the best at it is Thailand any good at Phalloplasty like they are at MTF surgery thanks in advanced
