A list of puns related to "Peace Of Westphalia"
I'm a little bit disappointed that Anglicans aren't eligible for emperor even following the PoW. I'm playing as continental England and really wanted to go go for an Emperor overthrow run, but I also wanted to try the new Anglican faith.
I thought "Sod it, I'll do both!" and got myself into a position where I could influence the war with condottieri - and I did! Just to discover that Anglicans aren't considered christian enough to run for Emperor.
This was such a buzz kill on the whole campaign and I don't really see the reasoning behind it. If Coptic is christian enough, why not Anglican? And if it's a bug, then Paradox has had more than enough time to fix it as they have already announce the second big DLC since Rule Britannia was released.
In the mean time, is anyone aware of a mod that would let me run for Emperor? Or would I not be able to start using the mod half way through my run?
TLDR: Playing Anglican England. Peace of Westphalia triggered. Not Eligible for Emperor. Super salty. Help wanted.
I want to play as Orthodox Poland and to eventually become emperor of HRE. Only way to do this is that religious war ends without enforcing religious supremacy. Is there someway that i can force this as a Orthodox nation?
As in, how did international politics play out before the Thirty Years' War, and what changed?
Basically, if the concept of a sovereign nation state did not come to be in the 17th C CE. In my view, this is the root of all evil...
Athletic Bilbao inspired me to see what the best possible team would look like that is made from players who were born in the state I live in (North Rhine-Westphalia). This is the finished team and it's honestly a lot stronger than I thought.
First the strengths: Both the keeper and the midfielders are stacked. We have 2 world class options with Neuer and Ter Stegen in goal and a decent 3rd option with Zieler. But the midfield is easily the most stacked. Reus and GΓΌndogan are world class, Goretzka might be on his way there, kampl and Demirbay are 2 very solid options and Kramer and Demme are very good depth options. I honestly have no idea how good Meyer has been in the PL but I included him anyways.
Now we get to the middle ground: Draxler is good and sane is world class so the wings are doing really well but there is a serious lack of depth here. I really couldn't find any decent wingers from NRW but I didn't wanna go for a 4-1-2-1-2 because Sane would've wasted in that formation. But with a midfield like that it would be the obvious choice in case Sane isn't able to play. Reus could also play on the wing but I like him better in midfield and Kampl can play both sides in a pinch.
The central defender have a similar problem: Both Hummels and Matip are great but I had a lot of trouble finding any other CBs. HΓΆwedes is obviously past his prime and Klostermann is more of a right back. Here you'd really have to pray that there are no injuries.
The fullbacks do have depth (quite a bit actually with 6 options that are all more than decent!) but much like the german NT as a whole there is a lack of truly great players.
We arrive at the biggest problem by far: the striker. Uth and Ginczek simply aren't good enough to start so I thought Havertz could play in a similar role as GΓΆtze by weaving in and out with Reus. Speaking of which, Reus could take the slightly more forward part but this season has shown that it makes quite a difference if he is allowed a bit more freedom. Though I guess the same applies to Havertz. Either way, there would be a lot of fluidity.
But yeah, all in all this is much more quality than I would've expected, especially when it comes to the starting 11. The transfermartk value of those 11 players adds up to 562m and with Sane, Havertz and ter Stegen it includes germany's 3 most expensive players and the whole squad would add up to 820m (for 28 players that averages 30m a player).
How do you th

I found a reference to a child living that was born in Westphalia, Prussia in 1815. It was stated the he dressed as a girl from the time he was born until immigrating to the US in the 1833. Was this a common practices and is there a reason that someone would do this? There was a lot of change going on with the Congress of Vienna, Prussian Modernization, Changes to military conscription, etc. that I'm having trouble establishing the context for this story.
