A list of puns related to "Parkland"
Does anyone have any advice for negotiating an emergency room bill with Parkland or a more direct number to their billing department other than 214-590-4900?
A friend was recently involved in a hit and run accident in which her car was t-boned by a pickup. She was taken to Parkland hospital where she was examined, 4 different CT scans, got a few stitches and then released. She is very banged up but ok. The final bill was over $32,000 and that is a "discounted" price. She is self-employed and does not have health insurance. She does have the minimum for uninsured driver insurance.
She wants to do the right thing and pay Parkland but we all find it amazing that the bill is so large. The emergency room charge was over $15,00 plus she had four CT scans. Three for $5,000 each and one for over $10,000. That seems extremely excessive. If I look up the same scans at Baylor, all four in total come to less than $7,000. If I use Parkland's own cost index site, the total cash price for the four scans are $12,000.
I can't find any way to reach the Parkland billing department. Their website has a general number but I have yet to get through.
If anyone has had a similar experience and can tell me what worked for them, I would greatly appreciate the help.
So I might have an internship over the summer, but I would also need to take Calculus 2. I was wondering if the online calculus 2 class in Parkland is completely online/asynchronous including the final exam, because for some classes at Parkland, you have to go in-person to take the final exam. I hear that the teacher will most likely be Jay Ko (i think). Along with that, do you have any other CC asynchronous recommendations for calc 2?
This is a very well researched and positive story with a couple of family friends mentioned.
Fellow Redditors am I delusional or there is a niche market in these neighborhoods that no one is catering to?
So all I see is huge apartments with very lavish finishing meant for rich people in Kenyan standards.
130 square meter 2 bedroom for 11 million 200 square meter 3 bedroom for 18 million 300 square meter 4 bedroom for 25 million
No one in these neighborhoods is catering for normal size apartments that working class can afford for investment or to live in.
80 square meter is more than enough for 2 bedroom that is priced for 6 million
130 square meter is more than enough for 3 bedroom that is priced for 9 million
180 square meter is more than enough for 4 bedroom for 13 million
Does anyone see this or I am delusional
well the last third of it. Oswalds mother believed he was working for the government and got framed. Nobody else ever got so clear. Danny Sheehan's (famous Constitional lawyer) 2016 class is online and at the level this conversation should be. I remember my own mother telling me the next day that a conspiracy was a serious possibility. Sober respectful movie...Sorry if this post violates the rules, it had more members than the other JFK subs...
Hey all, Iβm a junior and need to take a 4th level Spanish class for my graduation reqs. I was wondering if I should take it here at UIUC or just take it online at Parkland. I also havenβt taken Spanish since high school. In person at UIUC seems much more difficult to me but Iβm not sure.

An acquaintance of mine shared this email with me after I informed them they may have medical students joining their nursing teams. To my knowledge, this went out to all of the nursing teams within Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX.
>I wanted to share with you an amazing program that is a collaboration between UTSW and Parkland Nursing. [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] have worked tirelessly standing up this program which was actually a suggestion from [REDACTED] and our physician colleagues. I am highlighting the program below so you are aware. Please help the medical students feel welcome as they really want to support Parkland Nursing.
>We are launching a new program with UT using volunteer Med Students as staff supporters. The Med Students will work in a supportive fashion assisting the PCAβs & nursing staff with general tasks associated with the Unlicensed Clinical Staff role such as assisting with vital signs, transport, picking up trays, and other non-professional tasks identified by the Charge RN. They can even help cover call lights during staff meal breaks to improve the odds of core staff getting a full 30 minutes uninterrupted.
>The Med Students will attend a two hour training program sponsored by PHHS Clinical Education that includes basic skills and Mask Fit Testing. They will then be assigned one 4-hr orientation shift (possible 2 if needed) and afterward will be allowed to sign up for support shifts.
>The support shifts will be in 4 hour increments starting one hour after shift start to allow the core staff to finalize assignments, complete daily tasks and get their shift started. Planned shifts include 0800-1200, 1200-1600,1600-2000, 2000-2400, 2400-0400 and 0400-0800. The schedule templates will be set up for 7 days a week and the Med Students will sign up for shifts that work with their personal schedule. They will be assigned out of the CSO to depts that are short more than one PCA/Tech/Tech. We will not assign more than two Med Students to one dept at a time. If possible, we will also do our best to assign the volunteer students into clinical depts that align with their future medical practice goals.
>Our target start date is toward the end of September after the training sessions are comp
