Just seems like a huge piece of information you'd share with the police or anyone for that matter when the report comes out that it was lightning that killed her and then changed to her hitting the side of the mountain.

Very sorry if this is a stupid question.
My understanding is that a paraglider is able to remain in the air by catching "lift", whether it is thermal lift of ridge lift.
It seems to me that it would be fun to first skydive, then deploy your parachute, but instead of landing on the ground, catch some lift and start paragliding.
Do people do this? Is it common?
I was thinking perhaps that the canopy used for skydiving might not be well suited to paragliding. Or perhaps the DZs don't want you to do it as it might interfere with other people skydiving.
Is it based off launching location or do the motors make you go faster? I've only been tandem paragliding once and only the wind was used I don't see why you would need a motor too. I dont know to much about this stuff but thanks to anyone who explains
