Iβm halfway through Season 1, Episode 14, and Iβm wondering why our intrepid heroes havenβt tried breaking the crystals to get the missing girls out! In the combat episode where they fought Coach Daybreak, he broke a palimpsest and the Owlbear inside of it was releasedβ¦ why didnβt they think to do this with the other palimpsests?

Today marks the one year anniversary of the boys blessing our ears with the magic known as Plimpy.
How has it held up for everyone after a year? I truly believe it is arguably their best album, and I've been a fan since the very beginning. All Hands is a top 3 all-time PTH song for me.
Anyone else here come across this subreddit by searching an unusual word? Which word?
Iβve only included studio albums so no pacific myth.

I feel The βvibeβ of palimpsest is quite different from many other horror audio drama and would heavily recommend it for anyone looking for a slow burning horror.
I really enjoy the actorβs voice work as well, sheβs very interesting to listen and adds to the surreal /otherworldly vibe.
I am not the biggest PTH fan and initially, I only have a few singles downloaded on my computer. I knew them as I was growing up (from my mid-teens) and now that I have grown and finished college I have gotten to understand their progressive and lyrical style.
I grew up liking their tracks such as Mist, Skies, Bloodmeat, Blindfolds Aside, and just a few random ones from their albums around. Furthermore, I have listened to almost all of their tracks from the Palimpsest record and I love it!
My favorite album by them; heavy, groovy, punk-elements, amazing basslines (love bass guitar), and just over-all beautifully structured story-wise :D

Iβm still able to listen to this album front to back without skipping any tracks. IMO and idk if this is a hot take, Volition is and always will be to me their best album. Iβm pretty sure Iβd rank it slightly beneath that at #2. Itβs simply their magnum opus and Iβll fight anyone who says no π‘
But yeah, curious to see othersβ takes.

Today (yesterday I guess actually) marks 6 months post album launch.
During day 1 with the album, I wrote a ton of words really about nothing. Since then, I've listened to it a few hundred times, and it made the spotify wrapped feature kinda moot as it was just the album in its entirety.
So after 6 months really all that has changed from my first impressions:
- I love that bit in the fireside now, it took a while to grow on me but it really has, and it's great with arguably one of, if not THE, best endings on the album.
- If I'm being honest, Gift Horse might be my favourite song on the album. Great theme to the lyrics, and the fact that it has TWO sections that immediately get stuck in your head is fantastic.
- Overall, I'd say this album is ahead of Fortress and Kezia for me. I really like the more grounded lyrics, and as I've said before the songs feel less like a sum of their parts and more of a full composition. I won't rank em or anything like that, but personally, I get more out of an album like this. YMMV.
- Having listened to it so many times, I almost forget that the interludes are their own songs and not parts of others. At first they were a little jarring, but now it's more bizzare when they are missing.
- From The Sky still absolutely slaps and I've been nothing short of evangelical about it. Idgaf.
One of my favourite things about PTH is you can't just listen to an album once and hear everything. Even after a few months and countless listens, it's still extremely rewarding to listen to.
Subjectively, she's damn near perfect. Looking forward to seeing it all play out live someday in the future.
I'm on S1E13 of fantasy high rn; and I can't remember what the harvestmen were using the palimpsests for. Has it been explained at this point?
There's no sweeps on Palimpsest. I believe Pacific Myth also had no sweeps.
Not an issue or complaint, just an observation.
Actually I don't think Volition had any either.
That's okay because I am terrible at sweeping.
