A list of puns related to "Ontario Lottery And Gaming Corporation"
For anyone not familiar with how self-exclusion programs work, it's essentially used in situations where individuals feel like they have a problem with their gambling or spending habits with regards to sports betting and they enter into an agreement where they are ineligible for a given period of time. For instance, Draftkings now has a self-exclusion option on their account settings pages where players have the option to be banned from contest entries for periods of up to 3 or 5 years I believe. Similarly, OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation ) has a similar program, here's an excerpt from their website:
>"Self-Exclusion is a voluntary self-help program offered by OLG and requires an individual to commit to staying away from Charitable Gaming Centres in Ontario. An individual who is registered in OLGβs Charitable Gaming Self-Exclusion Program is prohibited from entering all Charitable Gaming Centres in the province, is removed from Charitable Gaming direct marketing, and is ineligible to win Charitable Gaming prizes. A self-excluded individual is required to reinstate before returning to any Charitable Gaming Centre."
I feel like this is a genuine issue within NHL and other EA games and I think it should garner a bit more attention from EA. People on this sub have admitted to thousands of dollars lost to their pack spending and it's clearly a problem. Do you think EA should have an option where a users accounts and/or credit card can be voluntary excluded from buying packs for a period of time in an effort to help the user, or is this way too wishful of thinking for a company like EA? Just a thought I had tonight and felt like it might make for some interesting discussion.
While using the same lottery and slot machine tactics in any loot box ever, none of them (or you, depends on viewpoint) actually do pay specific taxes designated by every civilized government.
Only reason they get away with this:
Fictional currency (witch bought with real money and is real money projection)
Loot boxes not classified as lottery/slot machine
Loot box rewards do not have real world value? They do, since you buy them with real money.
By my country laws you need to pay 30% tax of market value of an item you won in any contest/competition/lottery. No matter is it cash prize, car, bike, shirt, PC mouse, etc.
