It looks like a scene from a Steven King movie. Mainly crows and in between a few other birds.
I've lived here my whole life and I've never seen this before. It's been 2 days in a row now (that I've seen it happen) and there weren't any crackers or such to be heard nearby. They fly almost for a whole hour when the sun sets around 5-6 pm.
Negombo/Colombo - do you know where we can buy stretch foil to protect our baggage (big backpacks which will be checked in) before flight? Or maybe there's a service which does it for charge? We didn't see it on airport but maybe it's there?
Do you guys know of some fun places to visit near negombo for a first date.
Apparently there is some issue with the huawei routers or something of that matter in the Negombo katunayake area...I'm just assuming they got hacked again and they're trying to cover it up.

Hello! I hope this post is allowed and if it breaks the rules, my sincerest of apologies! Iโm not from Sri Lanka, but I love learning about different parts of the world and meeting people from other countries. One of my hobbies is to spin my old globe and see where my finger lands. Wherever it lands, I try to learn as much as I can about that place.
Well, most recently Iโve โlandedโ in Negombo. Iโve enjoyed reading about the history and looking at the beautiful photos from the area, but itโs hard to sift through all the touristy content. Iโd love to meet people who actually live there or were raised there.

Iโm searching for high quality (ideally vacuum sealed) tea. Green, oolong, white and earl grey preferred. The person I promised to bring something special is a real tea enthusiast so I try to avoid these fancy tourist tea and rather bring something with real value.
