A list of puns related to "Nardole"
He was the voice of Aleister Crowley, very cool to have another Doctor Who alum on the show.
I just started this show for the first time 2 months ago, and Iβve now watched until the end of S10. They just earned themselves a fan for life! Amazing show. I have a question about Nardole though, as he became one of my favorite companions. Did they ever explain how and when he died? I feel like they did a disservice to such a great character and actor here. But maybe I missed something...
I feel like he gets glossed over on the companions list, but I think he was brilliant and their chemistry was amazing. I think it would be a hoot to see him and 13 interacting, though I donβt think itβs possible.
Who do you guys miss/wish would interact with Doctors other than their own?
I may have missed an episode or some dialogue but when I was watching Capaldi series all of a sudden there was Nardole and no explanation on how he became a Tardis crew member
Can anyone lend a hand and either point me to the episode where he was introduced or explain? Iβve always wondered this.
For context: Nardole is one of the best companions to the Doctor. The concept of him and his portrayal in series 10 is absolutely amazing. Nardole is the Doctors best friend, somebody hes been with for around 100 years. He is a reminder of his late wife, and the one person keeping him calm and sane while keeping Missy in the Vault. He cares deeply for the Doctor and is amazing.
I've always loved Nardole for that and I enjoy writing pieces for his character to grow - I hope you enjoy!
The sky was filled with a warm gentle stretch of orange as the sun slowly set in the horizon. The clouds glistened under the sun, whilst the nightlife of Bristol started to slowly arise. The glow of the sun gently poured through the windows of the Doctorβs office. The university was filled with a slight coldness and a general sense of silence, except the footsteps of students and staff of St. Lukeβs University.
Bill slowly wandered back into the Doctorβs office, having forgotten her phone on the Doctorβs desk. Theyβd returned from a small planet on the edge of the Third Galaxy where they had saved a rescue team from a terrifying creature β though the experience was made up of too much running for Bill to remember it all.
As the door creaked open, Billβs eyes quickly fell upon Nardole, who patiently sat in the Doctorβs seat. He wore the Doctorβs sunglasses, whilst leaning forward over a small leather-padded file.
βNardole?β Bill wondered as she saw the obscure sight. Nardole jumped as he unexpectedly heard Bill, having been caught off-guard. Nardole quickly tapped the side of the glasses and took them off, whilst a guilty expression rested on his face. βWhat were you doing?β
βNothing.β He speedily answered, clearly lying as he looked up to her cautiously.
βRightβ¦β Bill chuckled slightly as she approached the Doctorβs desk, before picking up her phone. Although, as her hands grasped onto the phone, she leant forward and nosily glanced at what Nardole was looking at. Stacks of files filled the file, which was padded with black leather and engrained with the words βFriendsβ. βYou know thereβs Facebook for that stuff, right?β Bill smirked as she retrieved her earphones from her pocket.
βThis isnβt a friends list β well itβs not mine. Mine is much largerβ¦ well, not that much larger, but it has Gary from the off-license in it and this doesn- anyway, this is a list of the Doctorβs friends.β Nardole revealed as he handed Bill the file. Curiously, Bill took the file. The
... keep reading on reddit β‘In the weeks I've been here I've barely seen anyone mention him. Is he popular? At first I really hated the type of humour his character brought, but as he's become less of a comic relief character and has gotten a lot of badass moments he's grown on me. On the subject, has there been a story that fills in what happened to him after the Doctor left that spaceship? I feel like the Doctor would/should go back for him, but a story that just reopens the problem after it's been tied up would seem like a disservice.

I just rewatched the 10th season, with capaldi and Bill, and everytime Nardole is in the frame I can't help my self and think of Daffyd Thomas from little Britain, so my thoughts wandered of and I thought what if Daffyd was in Doctor Who and would travel with the doctor, maybe even meet Captain Jack, he woulf still say that he is the only gay in the universe around time and space and I thought this would be a really fun crossover.
So Iβm finally getting caught up on Capaldi and I have to say I absolutely love Nardole. He is exactly what the show needed at the time.
When I was thinking of series 10 before it started, I dreaded Nardole. His appearances in the Christmas specials really made me think that this season was going to be full of stupid. I didn't hate the character but his presence had taken something away from the episodes I had seen with him to that point.
I was surprised at how he was handled in the first episode. He acts sort of as the Doctor's valet instead of his buffoon. I am happy with the adjustment. I like that he's useful and not just a hanger-on.
Because he looks dead. He has human lungs and if the other dude is any clue right now Nardoles lungs are a pile mush.
I just wanted to confess.
In "Extremis":
Bill: Nardole, are you secretly a bad ass?
Nardole: Nothing secret about it babydoll.
Awesome! Or in "Mysterio":
Doctor: Where did you get the robes?
Nardole: 12th century Constantinople. I ruled firmly, but wisely.
What others have I missed? He is rapidly taking over the #1 spot for favorite companion on my internal list.
