A list of puns related to "Muskogean"
Aletu (Hello),
I'm a member of the United Houma Nation and several of us are working with linguists to reclaim our Native language. We're using a few old recordings, sparse written records, and looking at other Muskogean languages to make sure we're being accurate. We're working on understanding pitch as a part of language right now and could really use the help of fluent speakers of other Muskogean languages (such as MS Chahta or Chikashshanompa') to help us understand.
Does anyone know where/how I might connect to speakers? We have a few MS Choctaw that we work with closely already but don't have many Chickasaw contacts regarding language. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. I'm also trying to reach out to tribal offices directly, and had shared this message on a different sub-reddit when someone suggested I post here too.
I'd be happy to share more about the project if that helps. You can find us online/Facebook by searching for Houma Language Project.

Just a fun little idea I had with vanilla Civ 6 rules, no idea how to balance. It would be cool to have some more indigenous representation :D
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskaloosa
The idea is that this civ leans towards City-States and Military, with a flair for expansion and faith. Flat, forested grassland start bias.
Ability: Paramount Chief
Edit: Every time you settle/capture a city for the first time, you gain a Vassal (see below). For every city-state you are suzerain of, cities receive +2 Gold and +2 Production and units receive +2 combat strength.
Unique District: Mound
Replaces the Holy Site. Receives no adjacency bonuses, but provides a flat +2 Faith and +2 Culture. Provides +2 Science with Natural History. Acts as an encampment, providing defensive and offensive bonuses.
Unique Unit: Vassal
Replaces the Envoy. Provides +1 Faith. (edit: looking back idk if you can call this a 'unit' if it's more of a concept?)
Hey, thanks for showing up! Write neat things down that you liked, some things you didn't like in a constructive manner, and generally anything you want to talk about.
A good place to start is what you thought of the mission, what you thought of our teamwork, and anything you think we could have done better collectively. Also, really important is your ideas for how best to integrate CAS into our games. Any idea flies!
If you were having some technical issues, please also outline them below. Bonus points for describing some exact circumstances to help us debug what happend.
You know the drill. Likes, dislikes etc. Include Position. Etc.

##Operation Muskogean
by Fadi & Iron
based on Muskogean for A2 by Kurt
SITUATION:
It is late 2009 and Operation Enduring Freedom rolls ever onward. One of many aspects of the operation is the training of the Afghan National Army to take over military operations after an eventual - but as yet undetermined - ISAF withdrawal from the country. There are currently some 4,000 US armed forces trainers operating toward this end, though it is common for ANA units to be attached to regular military forces and accompany them on their missions.
The nation finds itself in something of a stagnated lull as ISAF forces secure control of the urban zones and insurgents maintain a constant presence virtually everywhere else. Training and equipping the ANA to deal with the threats facing their country is meant to present a local face to NATO side of the conflict that the populace can support and rally behind. So far results have been decidedly mixed.
Airborne Infantry platoon PUEBLO is currently in the final phases of combat training with a squad of ANA special forces. Today is the final mission of their attachment to PUEBLO and they will be providing the M113 Gavin APCs used to transport the platoon. These soldiers have proven themselves in combat: they are talented, resourceful, and genuinely want to improve their country. Afghanistan will be in good hands if more units can be brought up to the standard these soldiers have set.
MISSION:
PUEBLO and its ANA attachment are assigned with sweeping a number of villages in a remote corner of Takistan that intelligence has come to believe contain a significant insurgent presence. Due to the remoteness of the area any attempt at a traditional convey would be detected hours in advance and most of the insurgent forces would simply flee or bury their weapons and blend in with the population.
PUEBLO and the ANA will therefore be a

... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Mathematical puns makes me number
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.

Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
