San Francisco is the only 'real' city (Los Angeles and San Diego are just glorified suburbs) but even San Francisco is a laughingstock compared to a real Mediterranean style city like Barcelona or Lisbon.
So why do hippie dippie Woke liberal do gooders gravitate toward this place?
We all know about the complicated and ugly roofs that McMansions have compared to clean gable and hipped roofs, with their high pitch and distracting appearance. But how do these actually get designed?
Is there some architectural software that generates a roof shape after all the ugly rooms get designed?
And what about construction costs? If McMansions try to minimize costs, wouldn’t they also want a simpler roof design? I would imagine it takes longer to build all the various shapes and get the angles to all join somehow. How do they get away with this?
Is it simply a small house that looks like a mansion? or is it a cheaply made big house?
Visited windsor the other day and I was NOT expecting to see so many massive homes 2500-3500 newly built single family homes that looked very nice.
(I’m not talking about the custom waterfront properties. I saw a lot of copy pasted home designs that still looked very nice)
Who are buying these homes? Foreign investors? Retirees? Torontonians? The Windsor 1%?
