A list of puns related to "Mandibular Incisive Canal"
Hi all,
I'm wondering- are root canals on mandibular central incisors (damaged nerve was diagnosed by positive cold test) usually as successful as those on other teeth? How about if the mandibular central incisor in question is cracked- would that make it more likely to have increased pain in the days/weeks/months following the root canal?
My brain MRI had an incidental finding of Nasopalatine Duct Cyst / Incisive Canal Cyst last year. Last week, I had some swelling in my mouth and then I noticed a hard lump in the roof of my mouth and went to the dentist. The dentist referred me to an oral surgeon for a biopsy and now I'm very concerned. Anybody have the same issue? How concerned should we be about this?

I didn't even realize that anything was out of the ordinary until I was 25 (I'm 31 now), but it turns out quite a few people have them. They're not dangerous but they are very, VERY irritating. For years they caused me to slur my words, to mispronounce everything, and caused my tongue to be raised within my mouth which was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. I think they may have been the source of my chronic headaches too (I've been feeling quite a bit better since getting them removed). To put it simply, it was like having a mouth full of peanut butter 24/7.
AMA.
EDIT I created this post late last night but fell asleep. I'm back now ready to answer all questions.
Don't you guys think we seriously lack a player with incisive capacity on the right. We should have a player who should be fearless to run into opposition defence. Relating it to yesterday's game, we saw in the first half where Benz guided Hazard on the right, as if telling him to take on the defenders.
I would like to know your views on the same. Do let me know if you guys don't think we need any player of such calibre due to our current style of play.
I started mewing 7 days ago and i've been wondering if its the right desicion.
My mandible is slightly in front compared with my maxilla.
I'm afraid that mewing can make my mandible go even further making a bigger difference so i really don't know what should i do.
I just need to know for writing research. No, I have not been shot. No, I am not helping someone that's received a GSI.
Following a fight scene involving a low caliber pistol (~9mm), the character in question has received an injury to the left underside of their jawbone at a steep upwards angle during their attempted self-defense. They are in a modern setting, have a friend with first aid and trauma kit supplies able to help, but are not able to visit a hospital. Jawbone is intact (read: "not split into multiple pieces/comminuted fracture or similar fracture types"). Jawbone is injured, but not fractured to the point of requiring things like reconstructing metal rods (slight hard sci-fi setting, just chalk it up to subdermal armor).
I hate that I have a meh jawline, and its kinda narrow. My face is not wide enough, hence cheekbone implants. And my forehead stick out about 3/4β past my eye socket, giving my eyes a very receded and ominous dark look. And I have a long face, tom brady type forehead and chin, with a long midface.
Brow reduction looks scary though and do those scars show if your hair is short? Do all ppl who do M2F get this surgery??
I had noticed the asymmetry in my face for about a decade now. I asked dentists and orthodontists about this every time I went for a consultation or X-rays. I was always told the same thing, βyou can hardly tell.β It was always brushed off. I heard about a university downtown in the city nearest to my house and decided to see if they had more to say about it. The student working with me diagnosed me with unilateral mandibular hypoplasia based on X-rays. One mandible is much bigger than the other causing a noticeable shift in my jaw to one side. Now we are going to wait and see if it grows before going forward with jaw surgery or braces. Iβm praying it doesnβt grow because that means I can actually get it corrected. Anyone have experience with this? Mine seems to have worsened over time just based on old pics of me, not sure if thatβs because I lost my βbaby fatβ in my face from early adulthood or if it truly is continuing to grow more on one side. Anything anyone knows about this would be helpful. Also, what is jaw surgery like? Is the risks/recovery time worth it?
Im on the tray 17 of 41, and today started with the wings. Im so scared because i always heard that the wings were just for kids, never for adults. But my dentist dont tell me nothing about it, so im using them. Someone with experience using them as adult can tell me if they worked for him?
Btw, im 27 years old.
Thanks guys.

Iβve been recommended a mandibular advancement splint( uses the boil-and-bite process to create a custom impression of your teeth ) by my sleep doctor. However, Iβm currently wearing a bonded retainer (permanent wire attached back of my teeth) due to orthodontist work several years back.
Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with wearing a bonded retainer with MAS? And if thereβs a chance I could wear MAS if I have one?
I have been having the most frustrating time with figuring out if I can afford an oral appliance or not. I have been calling dentists, my insurance company, my sleep clinic repeatedly for the past few months.
TL;DR: I bought the darn thing directly from a dental lab for $329 instead of paying $2,600-$3,500 by using my dentist/insurance.
I don't know if I can post links here, so I won't, but if you are struggling with a CPAP machine and your sleep clinic recommends a Mandibular Advancement Device, you can save yourself a lot of time and money by simply searching for it yourself.

Hi guys,
In April '18 I was sucker-punched on the right side of my face and it broke my jaw in two places. I was wired shut for three weeks. This was three years ago.
After they took the wires off, the same day, I ate a small bite of pizza (very carefully) at dinner. One of the breaks was near my lower left K-9, and after eating the pizza, I noticed the K-9 was sort of moving back and forth as I opened and closed my jaw - it was very slight, albeit noticeable. Nothing really hurt.
I messaged my doc and within a day or two I went back and they put a bridal wire around the K-9 and one of my middle lower teeth. This was to keep the K-9 from moving obviously and to keep the fracture in place (though I didn't re-break it).
My issue here is that I've been having serious depression and anxiety for the past few weeks because I really don't look the same as I once did. This was made apparent to me after going through an old camera I had and came across some old videos and pictures I took of myself right before the break (I was on vacation and moving apartments at the time).
-It looks like my jaw is always a bit swollen now.
-I used to have a very defined jawline and now my face always looks a tad puffy.
-I also feel like it's harder to talk and the fat/skin under my chin pushes out more when I do talk.
-Not to get too much into it, but if I'm making out with a girl, or if I go down on her, my jaw can get extremely sore too.
-It clicks on the right side (at the joint) every time I fully open my mouth, and sometimes it clicks on both sides.
I've just started to give these thoughts more attention and am worried my concerns are valid. I'm blaming myself for eating the pizza and wish I hadn't - I probably would've been fine. I'm also worried about the fact that I was on Zoloft at the time of the break. The trauma to the mandibular/head during that time being on an SSRI might've altered the healing process in some way. I've also read that SSRI's can reduce bone mass and make them weaker. I did continue taking Zoloft throughout the time being wired shut per my doctor's direction.
I'm really down and out about this. I remember waking up post-surgery and having a different bite. I just never thought too much of it because I assumed I would be the same - if not better honestly - post-operation. I was actually sort of pumped about having a perfectly aligned jaw, but am now concerned that the wires were taken off too soon, and because I ate that pizza I sor

Like I said in the title, I'm wondering what I should do, looking at my side profile pictures I'm thinking that the only part that's weird in my face (relative to everything else) is my chin, that or my nose, but I think it's probably the chin making it look more out of place than it is.
Would you say that a genio would be enough to harmonize things? I have no bite issues whatsoever and my teeth are aligned.
Important: The genio would be significantly cheaper and I would assume that the recovery process would also be way easier.
Thanks in advance for your opinions, oh and sorry for the messy hair.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience or heard anything about them.
