For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Hello! I tested on 2/26/21 and got my results back 3/10/21. Actual score: 222 Predicted: 238 Nbme 18 2 weeks before exam: 218 CBSE 4 weeks before exam: 210 Uworld 1 6 weeks before exam: 205 Uworld average percent: 60%
Anyways I know it’s not a super great score, in fact it’s below average. However, I wanted to provide you all still studying with some encouragement and explain why I’m still happy with this score. We are all in medicine, we are all smart, we are all motivated (even if it doesn’t feel like it!). It’s easy to compare yourself to others and say “damn! My score sucks!” but you have to remember that you’re comparing yourself to the elite !! Medicine is a tough field and you all wouldn’t make it this far if you weren’t cut out for it. I’ve been through some tough stuff during medical school- I lost my mom to cancer about a year ago, my sister got diagnosed with malignant histiocytosis 4 months before my exam and isn’t doing great, I had a breast cancer scare myself. Life is hard. We all fight our own battles in silence. It’s so easy to compare battles and scores, especially in a competitive field. BUT REMEMBER YOU ARE THE ELITE !! I didn’t even know what Step 1 was before medical school. I never thought one specialty was superior to the other prior to medical school. I just thought “dang! A doctor!” I highly doubt any of your patients will think differently than what I used to think. They won’t ask you about your step scores. They will remember who you are and the kind of physician you are to them. If you think you can’t do this- you most definitely can. You’ve made it this far!! Take it one day at a time and take care of yourself. If you are not okay, a test will not matter. Anyways, best of Luck to all of you test takers.
