A list of puns related to "Magus"
Mad facts.
Think big hat, flowing robe, analytical approach to things, "arcane" magic. Stuff like Gandalf, Big Hat Logan from Dark Souls or Schierke from Berserk.
Currently the closes we have are Xerath (ancient magus who uses raw magic), Ryze (powerful, wise sorcerer) and Veigar (purely design-wise), but none of them really scratch that itch for me.
I've seen builds recently of people playing a Sword Saint using 2 handed weapons and I feel like I'm missing something. Does Spell Combat work with Two Handed weapons? or it's just worth giving up for other benefits? I'm a bit confused. If it doesn't I just feel like I'm missing something.
Hello all, I am a long time gamer but this is my first Pathfinder 2E campaign. I currently am running a Sparkling Targe Magus with the intent to have him act as a tank with the good saves, and hardness.
Currently, I am looking at either going into magical crafting with an archetype such as Talisman Dabbler, Magical Crafting, or taking Soulforger, both look solid especially with the Soulforger's ability to enhance your shield's hardness although I think the shield is still likely to break due to more and more attacks will impact my shield, so a couple cheap shields or simple repairs are fine. While the Crafting or Talisman Dabbler will make the class a lot less selfish mechanically?
Just finished warlock of the magus world and I really really enjoyed it. I wanted to write down my thoughts on it.
I really liked the main character and the world building although confusing a lot of the time. Most of the arcs were super fun to read and the ending I think was pretty good. Do have some things I didn't like.
>!The start of the world of gods arc was just so slow and boring. We have just seen leylin almost breakthrough to rank 7 and it seems like he will keep getting stronger and then just stops and he has to start all over again from an infant. Although when leylin finally became a god was such a good moment idk if it makes up for the 150 slow chapters. I did enjoy moments of it don't get me wrong but I was really close to dropping it. Also the bit where it implies he slept with his cousin I just found weird. I know back in those time incest was common and it was normal but it wasn't necessary. I never felt like he was in any serious danger maybe apart from when he ranked up to rank 2. I really like Fang yuan because he technically died many times. Should his Gu not have worked that would be it. It felt like there were actual stakes but with leylin I never really felt like he was in danger. You could put that down to him being scheming and his plans working fine and having enough trump cards but idk felt like he didn't really encounter danger. Maybe he did but i've forgotten them. I found the characters to be in a weird place. They are all meant to be pawns that he could through away at any point but they never felt real. With RI there were so many good characters because they had ambitions and had goal and loved ones and enemies and although most were fated to be a stepping stone it didn't mean that they should be so boring. I never really liked any characters apart from leylin. No other characters were really fleshed out and I feel like it could have added to the story if they were. Like his sons fighting along side him in the final war or some of his enemies having an actual reason to stop him like duke long did. Also felt like the subterranean world was being hyped up for so long and then he hits peak rank 6 and was just told that all the strong guys were there and that was it. Also what about the north, east and west continents are they a thing?!<
>! Any way on to the good. The world felt so real and like it had truly been around for a long. Although bland I did enjoy a lot of the characters and they were entertaining. I'

So i wanted to pose it here, the spell says " You tumble through space, making a short dimensional hop to better position yourself for an attack. Teleport to any square in range that's within reach of a creature, and then make a melee Strike against one creature within your reach. " being 1 action, and the strike is part of the action. Being that its a teleport and attack over 2 seconds i assume that the enemy would be flat-footed against the attack if they havent seen you yet. But how would the rest of you rule it?
EDIT: To be clear since i wasnt in the post, Im asking if you are already hidden or undetected, not if you are in the middle of combat or full sight.
Looking at making a magus, but I want a few spells (mage armor mainly) from the wizard list. I know Iโll get Greater Spell Access at 19, but Iโm wondering if thereโs a way I can gain access to the list earlier, through feat, arcana, or something else. Thank you very much in advance!
What's the life of a normal magus in the Nasuverse? A person with no talent whatsover and is pretty average in the type of magecraft that he uses, a family with normal pedigree (if I termed that right), no connections with any type of rituals like the Holy Grail War, etc. Just an average guy in all parameters.
Would they still be trying to reach the root? Can they be part of the Mage's Association and even study in the Clock Tower? Essentially, what's their life plan?
Does the combo work for a 24h buff from the Magus's ability?
It's probably dumb but I start thinking a full on support Bifrost could be interesting, saw the insane duration for full training, and wondered how big and powerful or useful those bursts would be, combined with jump drive V. Stupid ideas like this:
[Bifrost, Bifrost]
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Co-Processor I
Micro Auxiliary Power Core II
5MN Cold-Gas Enduring Microwarpdrive
Initiated Compact Warp Disruptor
Caldari Navy Medium Shield Extender
Caldari Navy Medium Shield Extender
Micro Jump Field Generator
Skirmish Command Burst II
Shield Command Burst II
Shield Command Burst II
[Empty High slot]
[Empty High slot]
Defender Launcher I
Small Command Processor I
Small Command Processor I
Shield Harmonizing Charge x400
Defender Missile I x10
Evasive Maneuvers Charge x400
Interdiction Maneuvers Charge x100
Come in, boost, get some points for kills, lob a missile, withdraw, come back to boost/point, boosh as needed.
Months into this I would also unlock Command Ships, which I've honestly never thought much about.
This is what my insane skill queue looks like at the moment (545 days).

Also i was thinking Str 19 dex 13 con 12 wis 10 int 12 cha 16 is that ok i play on daring or should i do more focused like Str 19 dex 10 con 10 wis 10 int 12 cha 18.
And last what azata superpower are good for melee magus ?
I did play magus Eldritch Scion in Kingmaker and here, but never with azata so any tips are nice.
THX in advance :D but no monk dips i know about that i don't really care about it.
Just wondering what people's thoughts were on including 1 magus of the moon in the main for B/G Yawg. Isn't hard to consistently hit him and he seems like he would be a great target in a lot of matchups. I have seen him popping in and out of sideboards lately, and having one in the main could be super sweet? Or maybe I'm bad.
Thoughts? I was thinking about putting him in either the endurance or scooze slot in the main, so there is still 1 yard hate target in the main.
I got an idea to make a DEX-based Fetchling Magus after building a DEX-based Fetchling Rogue/Magus for my girlfriend (few players, so the PCs were dual-classed for extra strength). I took a STR debuff to raise my CON, but I didn't think about the fact that that would negatively impact damage. Naturally, with a DEX build, I chose a rapier. Any thoughts on how to build a decent DEX-based Fetchling Magus?
Hello all, does anyone think this combination would work well? It doesn't look like it is that good to me, due to the issues of action economy and charisma isn't really an attribute focus for the Magus? Now I think it might be interesting with a weird Hobgoblin but that is more to do with the Hobgoblin being Extremely powerful at intimidation.
I was thinking about the idea that in the same way that the Glascheits are infused with the Mystery surrounding the beasts of the animal kingdom, the McDanann (my OC family name) are infused with the Mystery that surrounds the legends of the Tuatha dรจ Danann , using their bloodline (dna, cells, blood and etc) as a catalyst for this Spell, so they could perform Mysteries such as partially controlling the weather, creating magic weapons, among other Mysteries in a way that looks more like Sacraments than Magecrafts themselves, but I don't know if this would work in Nasuverse since I'm not very deep on this part, I'd like to know your opinion
