A list of puns related to "Lydian Mode"
Hello everybody,
Before studying composition I always thought that the Lydian mode was only used in 'happy' music, or fusion-like music. But I was definitely very wrong!
I made a video about how intimate, emotional and beautiful the Lydian mode can be with 4 chord progressions in 4 completely different styles.
I hope you will enjoy the examples that I wrote and will be inspired to explore the Lydian mode. You won't regret it :-)

As always, if you have any suggestions or recommendations about any topics or how I can improve my videos, please do let me know!
In a major key traditionally the piece will commonly modulate to the dominant, parallel minor, relative minor, subdominant etc
Traditionally what keys do lydian pieces modulate to? I mean traditionally like, Ancient music, medieval, Renaissance, classical etc
If a piece in Lydian mode is said to modulate to the dominant, would that dominant be a major key or in a Lydian mode?
Would it modulate to the relative Dorian key rather than a minor key? Etc

As far as I know, He only uses major, minor and variations of those scales. I know that major and minor are also mods (ionian and aelion). I can't stop ponder it. Such a great and versateli composer like him will create amazing songs , he already does it but, if he spice things up with such mods, that would be really excellent i suppose. What do you guys think about it?
Hello, I am trying to understand the relationship between the scales/modes and the major and minor keys.
What does the "fourth mode in the key of" imply? How to distinguish if it is the fourth, fifth, sixth mode etc?
Thanks
I know for Ionian it is the G major scale-G A B C D E F# what about the other two modes.
This is driving me crazy, I see how when you look at how a mode connects, it essentially connects to over mode pattern. I can start with G Ionian first position and connect all the way up the fretboard knowing all the shapes. So why does this one skip the Lydian shape?

If you are interested in modes, and modal chord progressions, I think you will dig this lesson 😎
