Hey again /r/mls I'm back with part five of the state soccer teams. For those of you seeing this for the first time, I began a project last summer where in a made-up universe, each U.S. state (commonwealth for the people in KY, MA, PA, and VA) had their own state soccer team. I have done Part I revised a few weeks ago, and now I am on to part four!

Hi Everyone! In April of 2019 I met this man, Peter, at a campground in Ahipara, New Zealand. We got to talking after we wandered into the hostel I was staying at. He walked over to a window where there a was tree outside and he asked me if I knew what that was. I wasn't sure what he was on about, so I asked him what it was and he replied, "That's God."

I am a bit a spiritualist myself and so I was ready to take the bait and told him that I knew that, which then commenced a three hour conversation between the two of us. It has to this day been one of the wildest encounters of my life. I am curious if anyone else has met this man and if so if they might know his last name, anything more about his story, or where he might be now. When I met him in 2019, he was about 70 years old and already had slight alzheimers. Here is what I know about him, which I will bullet point and would love know if any part of this story sounds familiar to anyone. This story is absolutely insane, I have absolutely no idea if any of it is true but here goes nothing!

- His name is Peter, he has was maybe around 70, grey hair, short to average height. He lived in his Van traveling around the country. I know that his next plan was to ride his van along the 90 mile beach.

-He was quite thin, borderline frail, but still quite nimble and seemingly youthful in the way he moved. He ate only fruits and nuts, preferably what he could find growing naturally.

- Previously he was a psychologist and spent quite a bit of time in the United States, specifically New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. In NYC I know he had a girlfriend and they lived in a really dangerous part of the city.

- Sometime in this time he saw the book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach. He said he knew the book was going to change his life before he even read it.

- Outside of Las Vegas, around the age of 30 he spent quite a bit of time out in the desert where, after eating nothing but oranges for 30 days (and I assume some other substances as well) he claimed to have reached enlightenment. He realized that everything was both right and wrong simultaneously, that he had a deep hatred for himself that he was able to heal, and that fear (or the boogeyman as he consistently called it) was the reason we were so unhappy

- After he reached enlightenment, he took a boat to Kodiak Island in Alaska by himself where he lived among the grizzly bears and was able to cohabitate with them.

- He lived in a c

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
