A list of puns related to "Lineout"
I'd like to have my DAC driving 3 sets of amps, and I wonder if there is any DAC built in with signal switches to output to different downstream chains. If not, what are good solutions out there to accomplish the same? thanks.
Edit: Iβd like to use it to drive one speaker amp, one headphone amp and one active speakerβs line input. But at any given time only one needs to be driven
My club is struggling with creating lineout plays that are easy to execute but also difficult to defend. We currently primarily use a 5 man lineout and have 3 calls (front, middle, back). But the calls are pretty simple and the defense can usually pick up on the plays with relative ease. The other issue is that players tend to get kind of confused easily (we're a social club).
How would you recommend creating a lineout strategy? I'm not looking for individual plays - there are plenty of those to be found online. I'm really interested in creating a strategy that is easy for our team to understand and also has a high success rate.
I've found the Rugby Coach Weekly website to pretty helpful but they are keeping most of their good stuff in an eBook for purchase and I want to avoid paying $30 unless necessary.
There's been a lot of discussion re Beaudens inability to spark the backline or run himself v the Boks in the first test
But almost no discussion of the ball he was getting.
From the start of that test the AB lineout gave up. We sat Blackadder at 2 in the lineout & threw to him almost regardless of where we were on the park.
For non lineout aficionados, the throw to 2 is the one you do when you are pinned on your line & HAVE to get the ball. It's almost impossible to intercept. It's also almost impossible to do anything with quickly. You don't even need a jumper there, most teams just stick a big strong lump there - for a long time Auckland & the All Blacks would use an (albeit tall) prop - Craig Dowd to regularly jump at the front.
But it's a terrible backline ball. It's even worse when you do as we did a number of times with Blackadder handing off to Ardie who gave it to our 9 who passed to Barrett who got the bok 6 & 7 at the same time & looked outside him to see their centre standing next to Reiko.
We even did it on attacking lineouts we were trying to maul - and of course, got shoved straight into touch.
I'm surprised in the whole "we didn't quite get going" thing in the week that hasn't been more of an issue. That backline can destroy a team on first phase with ball off the top from 6 - or even 4. Barret can't work miracles with garbage from 2 any more than even Ardie can stay in from a maul set up there.
One to watch tommorrow. Because we've sort of told the boks they can hiff it out anywhere they like & we will restart (slowly) 15m behind the gainline on the backfoot.
And then bitch that Barrett isn't cutting things open
Very specific clarification requests from any refs on here regarding the first Scottish try today.
According to law 18.37.a.i a lineout ends when "The ball or a player in possession of the ball leaves the lineout."
WR's new definition of a flying wedge is: "An illegal type of attack, which usually happens near the goal line, either from a penalty or free-kick or in open play. Team-mates are latched on each side of the ball-carrier in a wedge formation before engaging the opposition. Often one or more of these team-mates is in front of the ball-carrier."
Given that lifters are pre-bound to the jumper I assume that the above "from a penalty/free-kick/in open play" are the only occasions when a flying wedge can take place and that a flying wedge can therefore not take place in the lineout.
If this is the case, what exactly entails "leaving the lineout"? Does passing it off the top to another player who started in the lineout mean it is still in the lineout? I reckon it does and that I was wrong in my reading of Scotland's first try as being a missed penalty against the Scots for use of a flying wedge, as the lineout wasn't over and therefore a flying wedge could not have been formed.
I was re-watching the NZ vs ARG game and noticed that in the lineout that leads to the All Blacks first try Ethan Blackadder throws a dummy of the top of the lineout, this causes Marcos Kremer to rush through the lineout and the referee call this off side.
I know that there are lots of laws around when players cannot dummy as it makes it hard to know if they will be offside or not. Does this apply to lineouts also
When did hookers start throwing in at the lineout? I heard anecdotally that it was Avril Malan in 1960"s that first had a hooker throw in to the lineout (before that the standard was that a wing would do the honours) but unfortunately the Bok hooker had never thrown in before and it was a complete shambles.
I just assumed that hookers always threw in to the lineout, but from what I have heard that was not always the case. Anyone else heard this?
So your own hooker passes into the lineout but what does the opposing one do?
Can't the 10/12/(forward not within the lineout) not move forward until the ball has passed 15m in? Looks like they start running up to catch the long throw from lineout as soon it is thrown.
Brewers Fan Here,
Just wondering if Adames had been hitting the ball hard for outs all year or if that just a Brewer thing cause we cant have nice things?
Thanks in advance.
I wanna put it in my book as 1U3 then write double next to it, but not sure if that's worse than something else.
I want to mix the audio from my computer and a microphone for a small conference/meeting. Some of the presentations have videos in them. The conference room has a single XLR input that connects with the room speakers. My problem is the Pyle Professional Audio Mixer Sound Board has two L/R 1/4 inch jacks as the main output. What should I do?
My ideas were either to:
I'd really appreciate any help on this.
Is there a limit on the minimum number in a lineout? Can you just have the hooker and a 7 foot tall lock?
I'm relatively new to zone hitting, and while it started off well, I suddenly cannot hit a ball with solid contact for the life of me. I try reading the pitch as soon as it's released, but my PCI is always slightly off, or below the ball in the strike zone, and the weak crack of the bat is driving me mental.
I'm honestly just reaching out for some tips, i've been grinding practice mode for a while now but would appreciate some insight on what you guys do when you're just not hitting the ball well, or at all lol. I turned off the commentators cause if they tell me i'm being dominated one more time I might respectfully destroy my controller. Thanks!
