Ich stehe in der Menge und fange an meine Klamottenwahl in Zweifel zu ziehen. Ich dachte zu meinen weißen New Balance 574 mit den roten Akzenten passt das Badmomzjay-Shirt doch gut. Jetzt denke ich, dass die Leute die Ironie ja gar nicht begreifen können. Ich wache schweißgebadet auf. Es ist noch Nachmittag, puh. Wo ist das Badmomzjay-Shirt? Naja, doch zu klein, kann ich nicht machen. Ich mache mir einen Espresso und schütte den aus Versehen auf mein weißes Kitschkrieg-Sozi36-Soli-Shirt. Ok, dann halt doch Polo, in Weinrot, passend zu den Schuhen und den Socken.

Juse Ju ist auf Millennium-Tour. Die Konzerte wurden coronabedingt verschoben, deswegen kam in der Zwischenzeit schon das nächste Release. Um mich vorzubereiten, höre ich mich den Tag über nochmal durch das Gesamtwerk.
Zwei extrem unfreundliche Dudes am Eingang. Ich frage was sie zuerst sehen wollen, einer erklärt mir genervt „ja da einchecken, Impfnachweis, Ausweis…“ Ok. Aber warum so unfreundlich? Nächste Station, Ticket zeigen: „Hast du eine Maske dabei?“ Ich: „Ja schon, muss ich? Auf der Webseite steht ja ohne Maske, 2G und so…“ „Wäre halt nett, wenn du sie jetzt aufsetzt,“ sagt die Frau ohne Maske „kannst sie auch drinnen direkt wieder abnehmen.“ Aha. Scheinbar sind die Leute, die hier arbeiten auch alle genervt von der Seuche. Die Person, die die Taschen kontrollieren soll, fragt nur ob ich Marker dabei hab.
Also Maske wieder abgesetzt, Jacke abgeben (2,- €), Fritz Kola kaufen (0,2l 3,50€ inkl Pfand.)
19.30h – voll ist es nicht, aber es füllt sich. Das Publikum sieht weder typisch links noch typisch Hiphop aus. Hier und da ein Basecap, ein paar offensichtliche Zecken mit bunten Haaren, ein paar weniger offensichtliche Zecken mit schwarzen Hoodies. Ein obligatorisches FeineSahne-Shirt sehe ich sofort. Aber heute vielleicht eher was über Sneaker schreiben? Hat sich u/walter-lego ja gewünscht (oder?). Die erkennt man nur so schlecht im Dunkeln.
Im Festsaal Kreuzberg kann man oberhalb vom FOH auf einer Tribüne sitzen, guter Überblick von hier.

I have had a crave for a good currywurst pommes for a while now but didnt have time. But today is the day. But now the question is: where? As my former favourite place on Friedrichstraße closed down a while ago, Im totally lost on Currywurst.

Update: I just tried Ketels and it was surprisingly....average. I have to say honestly. The portions were fairly small for the price (smaller than normal size for almost 7€ is a hefty price). The sauce was nothing special, the fries were nice and crispy but also seasoned very (!) average and basically had no taste to them at all.
It was good, dont get me wrong, but I hoped for something far better than that. It seemed to be very hipstery as well. Sorry only a 6/10 from me.
Hi! Does anyone know what the hell is causing these big explosion sounds in Kreuzberg now? Sounds like gunshots or some other stuff. They are incredibly loud and it is not the first time this week that I’ve heard them.
A few evenings ago some friends and I were sitting outside near the canal in Kreuzberg near the bocce ball courts. A middle-aged woman overheard me speak to my dog and my friends and in english and she started yelling at us. Saying 'does my dog understand German?' and how she wants me to stop speaking english and how it's all she can hear and that it's her neighbourhood etc, etc.
I responded in fluent German to leave us alone- because I am after all fluent and also german, that's kinda beside the point though.
We mostly ignored this woman because she was probably just a drunk lady- so whatever. There's a larger issue here that is interesting to consider. On one level I kinda understand how she feels, Kreuzberg has been heavily gentrified- and her feelings come from that.
On the other hand, I can't help but imagine how much worse it would be if this woman had said the same thing to a group of people speaking Italian, or Turkish or Arabic- like what gives her the right to dictate to anyone what language people use among themselves on a public street.
So yes, drunk assholes are gonna be drunk assholes but there's definitely this attitude prevalent in the city- what are your thoughts?

Later on, we'll evolve/devolve into an open jam session. Keyboard, bass, and haunted but functional cajon provided. Unfortunately, someone ran off with the precariously mounted overhead cymbal, but it's been replaced with a red sparkle floor tom and felt beater, possibly two if i can find the other one. Bis dann!

Random request but getting curtains fitted in on Saturday.
I have the curtains, but need curtain poles - I was at work when one of the curtain poles arrived so appears it's now with a random neighbour (it's too much effort for the delivery people to leave a notification in my letter box with the neighbours name, it seems!).
IKEA is the obvious option, but I'll be in work so a bit short in time and looking for any other options closer by.
Went to two places in Prenzlauer Berg earlier in the week, one of them requires an appointment and the other place was just an online seller for curtains.
Not being too lazy to Google, did search earlier in the week which lead me to Prenzlauer Berg, but need to act quickly so any pointers would be welcome.
Hi, can anyone recommend a place to watch the boxing tonight near Kreuzberg, or Checkpoint Charlie? Most places recommend Belushi's but it closes at 11pm.
