A list of puns related to "Jewish View Of Marriage"
So... a bit of background first I guess. My mother is an Iranian Jew who grew up during the Iranian revolution and left their Islamic rule when she was around 18. She went to undergrad in California and then went to Medical school in Israel where she met my dad who isn't AS Jewish as she is, but is still a Cohen and had a bar mitzvah and etc.
I'm a pretty smart, but socially awkward 16-year-old who is graduating high school this year, and applying to a lot of out of state schools that are on the other side of the US.
So here's the dilemma. My mom INSISTS that above all, the absolute most important thing about whoever I decide to ultimately marry is that they're Jewish. Now I keep kosher, I had a bar mitzvah, I speak a little bit of Hebrew, I think Israel is an awesome country (in terms of their technological superiority at least...), but I don't really consider myself as "very Jewish". My mom has made the argument that I should marry someone Jewish because it gives like... a sense of connectedness to God or something like that? I don't really know. But she started talking about all this because I have a girlfriend who comes from a totally different background than I do. I'm upper class, she's middle class. She has good ambitions, she wants to join the national guard and eventually be a medic or something like that in the military. She has a job, she's beautiful, we have very very very compatible personalities. However, despite her very limited flaws and our amazing connection, my mom still thinks that I'll have problems later in life if I decide to marry her, just because she isn't Jewish... somehow.
So what I'm kind of asking for is this: People who married someone very different from them in background, or that their parents didn't approve of, or maybe even someone who wasn't Jewish when you were... how did that turn out?

It's a disgrace that Starmer stands with this vile human being and promotes the JC. It just shows on which side Sir Keir stands.

OK ok ok, that was a little dramatic. But the facts remain. I recently married my GF and we are going to spend Christmas with her family. Her mom and sister and aunts all fancy themselves as top notch bakers, especially cookies and cakes and such.
I need to bring a cookie that will WOW them. That will make them say "Damn girl, you can cook!!!!!" I know this would be a huge step-in helping us bond. And also, help wipe the smirk off of cousin Sydney's face who thinks she is all-that.
Please......hook me up with a 5-star, knock your dick into the dirt, everybody always goes crazy over them, cookie recipe.
Thank You All!!!!!!
This is strictly considering people's experience with their therapists. I'll be looking for a change soon (because of insurance and what new company pays for etc.) but wanted to know if this was a challenge to anyone here. Thanks!

I know some branches see the soul as immortal but what does Judaism teach about the pre-existence of souls.
Or does Judaism believe a soul is created once a person is conceived or born
I have read, and been sent, differing information about them, and whether they truly were a Jewish empire.
Seems some of the upper class or traders may have converted to Judaism, but that is as much as I can find.
Is it just speculation/click bait, or is there real evidence?
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 86%. (I'm a bot)
> The head of the Ra'am party, Mansour Abbas, vowed to stop voting with the coalition on Tuesday to protest the continued planting of trees in the Negev region by Keren Kayemet L'Yisrael-Jewish National Fund.
> The planting program has set off violent protests by Bedouin in southern Israel, who view the Jewish organization's initiative as a means of expelling those who live on the land.
> Government infighting over the tree planting drew in coalition and opposition leaders on Tuesday, as rioters torched cars, blocked trains and scrapped with police in the south.
> A local Bedouin municipal official estimated that thousands lived on the ground intended for foresting and could be expelled as the planting continued.
> Police reported several acts of violence suspected of being linked to the protests against the tree planting.
> The rioting came after clashes between police and Bedouin at a KKL-JNF planting site earlier in the day, during which 18 protesters were arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, seven of them minors.

As an American, Iβve noticed that people here tend to get married a lot faster, whereas people in the UK stay together longer before getting married.
Here, if a couple is together a year or more, people start asking when he will propose, when theyβre going to set a date, etc.
Iβve noticed that in the UK people will be boyfriend/girlfriend for 5, 10, 15+ years, live together and sometimes have children, and still not be married.
Why do you think the two are so different in their views on marriage?
Growing up I witnessed the most disturbing fights between my mom and Dad. Screaming matches physical fights you mean. I think I have PTSD from the insane emotional abuse of it all.

Meaning all and any death resulting from the actions of Israel or Israelis is literally murder. May also mean no death or destruction from any Palestinian could ever actually be terrorism.
i'll keep this short. i am 29, male and i grew up secular / irreligious - even though i went to Egalitarian Hebrew day school for 9 years. started learning about orthodoxy in my early 20s and made some half-assed attempts at practicing it. even when i was trying to be religious, i still was not taken seriously by the orthodox and i'm positive they'd rather light themselves on fire than have me date or marry one of their own as i currently am. my parents became modern orthodox but they were/are far more consistent with it than i ever was.
currently, i am entirely non-observant. but i'm not saying i'll never attempt observance again - i am open to it. i do not want to intermarry but i have absolutely nothing in common with 95% of the jews in my city besides blood and some degree of religious knowledge. i am a non-conventional jew who has played in black metal, death metal and grindcore bands since i was 14 years old and i don't plan on stopping anytime soon. art is one of the most important things to me and jews here only seem concerned with perusing the highest positions in the fields of medicine, law or business. meanwhile, i'm a college drop-out who has worked in both the arts and the social service sector.
everyone wants a jewish doctor or lawyer. my mother married my biological father, in part, because he was a jewish lawyer. he was also a horribly abusive alcoholic which is why my parents split up while i was just an infant. i never have nor will i ever meet him as an adult because i found out a few years ago that he is dead.
i genuinely feel like my only options are intermarrying, dying completely alone or moving to another city/country (which doesn't seem possible at all right now for me for various reasons).
EDIT: i just started talking to a local girl on Okcupid who is jewish and listens to atmospheric black metal. one of many things we seem to have in common. she is interested in observance and moving to Israel. g-d does have mercy on his creatures. thank you, Hashem.
