It was funny once or twice, very refreshing to see someone openly talk about plastic surgery. But at this point it's like

someone: omg i love your music jessi: thanks but did you know i made the beat with my FAKE BOOB$?? (exaggeration obviously)

It feels like breast implants are her whole personality lol. I don't wanna make a big fuss around this, it's a light-hearted post, really. But sometimes she unnecessarily brings it up, even tho it has nothing do with the conversation and you can sense how awkward some guests / co-hosts get after those remarks. Can't help but roll my eyes.

I get that they were expensive but c'mon Jess, you can also bring up your BBL instead. Change it up lol.

Edit: I think this is unpopular because I only see her fans giving her the "iconic status" for being open about her surgeries.

It's been already a few days since it has been announced that twice won't be part of the performer line-up this year. And I still can not swallow that pill. Why I'm not seeing enough people expressing their thoughts about it, am I the only who's in that state 😭 ? I don't even consider myself as a once, since I don't really follow twice's other contents a part from their music, so where are you onces ?? I want to cry cry for mee 😭😭 I wanted my alcohol free performance, where is it ??

A lot of People are only complaining about BTS not attending (whith was weird for me too, but I guess it makes some sense or else they would have performed only English songs this year in a Korean show, which perhaps would upset some Korean viewers??) but Twice is for me a pillar of MAMA too !? I'm talking about them because I think for everyone Twice is gonna be in the MAMA every year, but it's the same for Monsta X, CHUNG HAAAA, Jessi, SHINee since they came back. Khoooh...I was so excited for the MAMA but not gonna lie, I lost all interest now... I'll be tuning perhaps because there are few performances that only INTRIGUE me like Brave Girls or Wanna one. Sadly the groups that perform that I appreciate ( stray kids or NCT ) didn't really made music that I liked this year...

What are you excited for this MAMA if you are ? Who would you have want to be in the lineup ?

EDIT : people are only paying attention to what I said about BTS when it's clearly not the subject here...I know that BTS chose to not attend because of COVID, I just said that if they did, wouldn't Koreans feel weird towards BTS performing only English songs in a Korean/Asian show in South Korea. When we say Koreans, it's not only Korean army, I'm talking about every Korean who follow the award ceremony. Please stop down voting me for this, and don't get offended by even the smallest assumption about BTS ! BTS is what made me like K-pop !

I am a long-time fan of the show but have missed a lot of the episodes. Now I got a Prime account and am binge-watching and is on Season 6. It kinda hit me hard. I did not have a chance to watch a lot of Jessi's episodes before. I got familiar with Jessi because of her web series with Autoblog. I loved her. She was so cool. A very talented, amazing dare-devil type of person. Now I am watching her episodes with Grant and Tory, can't help to imagine what more she can do if her life wasn't tragically cut short. Or course same for Grant.

She really finessed her way into being considered THE female rapper in the khh scene. Let's see.

She doesn't even write all her raps. She's not credited in the lyrics of her last single. She writes some/most of her raps, but a lot of her material is written by other people, & the raps she writes aren't that good let's be honest. She's closer to an idol rapper than a real rapper : i.e somebody who writes their raps from time to time but their job don't require it. She's a great singer though and her ballads are top tier.

I even remember her admitting she wasn't good at writing lyrics & working with a man who was good at putting her emotions into words, also her saying she was really more of a singer on unpretty rap star.

Which brings me to my next question : How did she gaslight her way into being considered an icon for younger korean female rappers, idol & non-idol, who are miles ahead of her in terms of talent ? Well unpretty rapstar.

The producers of the show saw a confident korean-american with a tan and hoop earings and thought "That's a rapper !" and the rest is history. Like, her rap career entirely depends on her image, her liekable personality (to international fans esp) and her aesthetic that caricatures the caricature of the look of a mainstream american female rapper through her fashion, fake tans, & surgery; not her actual rap talent.

Jessi is considered a gatekeeper of rap to the point idols get nervous about rapping in front of her on her show, just because she's American, comes from New York, has a New York accent, & looks the way she does. That's it. Really.

Idols, esp female idols, get shit all the time for not being good rappers when Jessi is out there bamboozling the entire industry. She's not that much better than them ? She's the standard idol rapper with a deep voice and empty meaningless catchy bops.

Tdlr : Jessi is a singer and an idol rapper at best, and does not deserve the accolades she got as a rapper.

Are they still a mermaid? Are the doctors so scrambled now that they are burnt? Is their head still attached to their body?

Do you think she will get another chance somewhere or do you think she is done with wrestling ?

I like Jessi as a character and was wondering if anyone has some good criticism about her. While watching I was looking for the reasons he might hate her but I just didn't find any. I really have no idea why he hates her as much as he does.

I hope someone can answer my question. Wasn't it essentially a spoiler when Annabelle gave those tapes from Jessi, aka Sister Mary what's her nuts, to Dan? She said that she was alive and is heading off to whatever country. I felt like they didn't really need to include the fact she was alive. It essentially took away the whole season mystery of if she was going to actually get sacrificed or not. Especially since they hadn't shown her getting set free yet. Even when the actual explosion happens at the end, it is hard to say if she made it out or not. It may just be me but I feel like that alone killed the last episode for me.

I have not seen an update in awhile. Are the doctors still scrambling? Did their head fall off? Are they doing “ hot disabled fall/winter”? Have they been able to lift their head? My curiosity is SEVER and I need ACCESSIBLE snark pls!!!!!

That would be amazing. I want her to interrogate Sehoon Jessi-style and fangirl over Sotaek/Jinyeon. How do I make this happen?!
